Starting Over

Chapter 8

*** Sorry I haven't been on lately, I am in the process of moving, trying to focus on my classes for my masters degree, my oldest turned 13, and then this afternoon my 17 year old cat that I have since he was born passed away in his sleep. Here are a few quick updates but hopefully once I am done moving I can get back into managing my schoolwork and working on the stories as well. Please be patient with me. ***

"What about this?" She asked North as she held up a party platter of pepperoni, salami, ham, turkey, various kinds of cheese and crackers. "That way everyone can just snack."

"Hey Aggele Mou," a deep voice said behind her.

"Superman!" Marie beamed breaking free from North's grasp and jumping into Silas arms.

"I told you Id come back as soon as I was done," he mumbled into her hair.

"Me too," another voice said from behind him.

"52!" She giggled leaning down to hug him. "What about Honey?"

"I haven't heard from him yet sorry," Kota mumbled and she pouted. "I'm sure he's trying to finish quickly so he can be home soon."

"Come on Baby, lets finish getting snacks, Gabe wants to look at the movie collection to see if they have anything we dont have yet," North said putting a variety of party platters into the cart.

"Hey Trouble, enjoying the ride?" Gabriel smiled seeing Marie in Silas arms. He noticed Nathan wasnt with them and started to ask but the look from Kota said not to mention it. "What are you in the mood for Trouble?" She shrugged so he grabbed a few various ones and tossed them into the cart, knowing her she wouldnt even make it through the first movie before falling asleep.

Heading back to the house she squeals in happiness seeing Owen and Sean coming out to help unload stuff from the car. "Owen! Dr. Sean!" She giggles running to them. They both hug her at the same time and Sean says something about a Marie sandwich which makes her giggle again. He asks her if she needs the cure which makes her blush and look down at the ground.

"Im making tacos for dinner then we are just having snacks during the movies," Marie smiles softly. "Luke helped me get lots of different kinds of snacks. North didnt even argue!"

"Sounds perfect Darling," Owen gives her his millimeter smile before kissing her forehead then going to help unload from the car. "Did you get everything you needed?"

"I think so," she says as she starts unloading the food and putting it away.

"Dont ask, it will upset her," North mumbles to Owen and Sean when they notice someone is missing from the group. "We told her hes in a no contact area and its just running late."

"Ill check his status," Owen whispers before heading to his study. He came back about fifteen minutes later and said, "His phone got broke during a scuffle, but he will be here in about an hour and half."

"Ill go get him a spare from the collection," Victor said heading upstairs.

"Something smells good," A voice said from behind Marie as she finished setting everything up about two hours later.

"Honey!" Marie beamed running to jump into his arms.

"You missing me Peanut?" Nathan chuckled as she didnt release her grip when he tried to set her down. "Why dont you fix me a plate while I take a super quick shower?"

After dinner everyone helped Gabriel set everything up how he wanted then they all sat behind Marie while they watched movies and snacked.

"I knew she wouldnt last through the first movie," Gabriel smirked as he played with her hair. "She never could."

"Im just glad shes back," Luke whispered smiling at the grip she had on his hand.

"How long do you think this clinginess will last?" Victor asked smiling at the way she unconsciously moved to make sure she was touching him in some form if he moved away slightly.

"Theres no telling but I really could care less," Sean said softly. "As long as she is here with us, I dont care, if it makes her feel better then so be it."

"Agreed," Owen and Victor said at the same time.

"Well do whatever we have to in order to help her heal, catch that asshole, and make sure she doesnt try to leave again," Owen said watching her sleep with her head in his lap.

"I doubt she will," North mumbled, "She was so happy to hear she was grounded forever. It was like a relief to her to be grounded forever."

"Then so be it," Silas and Nathan said at the same time.
