LX. The Next King?

"You... only want my life... Hindi ba?" nanghihina kong tanong. "S-Spare them, please..."

"Awe," he reacted as if he found me adorable. "Ganyan na nga yung kondisyon mo and yet you still chose to be brave and act as the August. If I were you, I would save myself and let everyone die."

I scoffed. "Good thing I wasn't you."

I may all look weak, pero malakas pa rin yung loob ko. Maybe it's one of those things that I got from Mom. If there is something I needed to save for myself, probably my ego against a villain.

"I'm amazed how brave you are in talking back to a Mafia Official. Just like how you talked back to me over dinner at my place. Ang pinagkaiba lang ay wala ka nang lakas ngayon kundi yung lakas na loob mo."

"What's there to be afraid of a Mafia Official?" pang-aasar ko.

Maybe the pain that I felt subsided a little bit because I'm starting to be feisty. Is it working? The one that I drank?

"Are you digging your own grave?" naasar niyang tanong pero pilit niya itong tinago sa isang ngisi.

"It depends. Are you going to kill me now?" I fired back.

"Huh!" he scoffed. He leaned back to look at my whole body before putting his fingers under his chin. "You do know that I can't kill you here, right now, diba?"

"Is it because you wanted your victim to suffer before they die? Alam ko yun," kalmado kong sagot, binabalewala yung banta niya sa buhay ko.

"Smart ass August, as expected," he clapped his hands.

Napalingon nalang ako sa labas ng van na umaandar. I don't understand why he had to do this. If he wanted my head so bad, he should've killed me awhile ago! Binigyan niya lang ako ng pagkakataon na mag-isip paano makawala. Or is he afraid to kill me?

"You didn't answer my question," I faced him again. "You only want me, why do you have to get the Grounds? You are not the King to do so."

Sa pagkakaalam ko yung Hari lang nila yung may kakayahang sakupin ang the Grounds. Lower officials shouldn't interfere with the King's plans.

"Tama ka nga. Ikaw lang yung kailangan ko," he paused and leaned forward. "But do you know how much recognition I get if I point the Grounds to the King? I get promoted!"

Promoted? Hindi ko siya maintindihan. He's already the Bishop. What position does he want more than that?

"How?" naguguluhan kong tanong. "The next high rank before a bishop is the Queen. You can't be the Queen."

Well, except if he is a girl.

"The Queen is not my target. I can be the second hand of the King," he said.

In the game of chess, the King have no second hand. He got the officials and pawns but no second hand.

"By the time I get promoted, I'll give my loyalty to my King. And if he dies, I'll be taking over the throne," dagdag niya na ikinasindak ko.

Hearing his plan now gave me the shivers. Alam ko naman kung ano yung gusto niya dito. He wants all the power. By the time they take over the Grounds, the reapers will be at their command and no one can stop them now. Kung mapapatay man niya ako ngayon ay katapusan na ng lahat. The reapers won't listen to anyone but their August. If I die, there will be no August and the Mafia would chain them in slavery. He really thought this through.

"Now that you know about my plans, it's time to kill you slowly," he leaned forward and assessed my face. "Where should we begin?" he lustfully said.

I could hear my heart thumping against my chest. Oh no. Anything but that!

I got no words to say. Kung anuman yung iniisip ko kanina ay yun nga ang mangyayari. Kenjie's men tied me on the bed at all ends. Nakatali yung mga kamay ko pati yung mga paa ko. Gusto kong kumawala pero iniipon ko yung lakas ko. As what I have noticed, unti-unti na akong tinatablan ng lunas na pinainom ni Noah sa akin na galing kay Tita Ace.

I am waiting for Kenjie on the bed, all tied up. As if I had a choice. Well, ibibigay ko nalang muna sa kanya yung gusto niya. He wants pleasure? Then I'll give him pleasure.

Bago pa ako tinali ng mga tauhan niya ay panaliguan saka binihisan muna ako nung mga maid niya. I felt like I was a royalty like one of those books that I've read, even though I knew that I was far from being a royal. They made me wear a short and sleeveless dress na sobrang nipis ng tela. Talagang pinamukha nila akong babaeng bayaran. Halos lumuwa na nga yung dibdib ko! All I could do is to suck everything up and let it happen what is destined to happen.

"Lovely..." I heard Kenjie's voice. "You tied on the bed makes me wanna eat you whole."

Napairap nalang ako. "I didn't saw this perverted side of you coming. Hindi ko alam ma type mo pala ako."

"First of all, hindi kita type. Second, I'm a man, August. I have my needs," he smirked.

Nasa pintuan pa rin siya habang nakatingin sa kabuuan ko. Yung mata niya parang hinuhubaran na ako.

"What happens after you feast on me?" tanong ko.

I'm buying my time. Kailangan ko siyang libangin kasi ramdam ko na talaga na makukuha ko na yung buong lakas ko any minute from now. I can still feel all the pain of my body but it is all tolerable. Konting-konti nalang talaga.

"Are you that excited to die?" natatawang tanong niya. "You know what will happen to you after I fvck you."

Yeah well, I expected less.

"Let's go and find out," nanghahamon kong sabi.

His grin went wide as he took big steps towards me. Nung narating na niya yung kama ay agad niya akong pinababawan. His eyes were full of lust. I cannot deny the fact that he also smells good. I'm 17 and I can't believe I'm going to be experiencing this now.

"I'm gonna make you ask for more," he whispered before kissing me.
