4 weeks went by in a flash, and Meredith was now 25 weeks pregnant. Meredith was at work, Derek was at work, and it was just an ordinary day.

Meredith was just doing charting when suddenly she felt light headed. "Hey Mer." Derek said walking up to her. "H-hey." Meredith replied, her voice shaky.

"Mer? Are you feeling okay?" Derek asked in concern as he put a hand on her back to steady her. "I...dizzy." She replied breathless.

Derek frowned. "Can someone get a wheelchair? Now?" Derek asked loudly. A nurse came quickly over and he helped her sit down.

"What else, Mer?" He questioned gently. He was very worried for his wife, and for their son. Meredith didn't answer, but her head lulled to the side and her eyes closed.

"What's going on?" Bailey asked over the bustle of the floor. "I don't know. She passed out." Derek replied, stressed.

"Okay. Let's get her up to OB and get her checked out." Bailey ordered.

They transferred Meredith to a gurney and quickly brought her upstairs to an OB room. "What's going on?" Connie asked as she came in.

"We were just standing, she was chatting. I came up to her and she was pale and said she was dizzy." Derek explained, holding Merediths limp hand.

"Okay. Let's not worry, this is sometimes common in pregnant woman with Merediths size." Connie replied. "Let's take her blood, just in case, and I'm going to take her blood pressure."

Meredith slowly came around and was disoriented. "Whats going on?" She mumbled.

"You passed out, Meredith. Do you remember that?" Connie asked while taking her vitals. "I...no." Meredith responded.

"Are you feeling okay?" Derek asked, a frown etched on his face. "Dizzy...and thirsty. And I have a hellish headache." Meredith replied as Connie took an ultrasounds.

"I don't see anything wrong...your blood pressure took a heavy dip, though, which is why you passed out." Connie said, handing Meredith a cup of water.

"It's just my blood pressure? The baby is okay?" She asked. "The baby looks just fine. Have you eaten anything today? Drunken anything?" Connie asked.

"I had a smoothie this morning but I didn't have anything to Drink." Meredith replied. "Okay." Connie said, writing it down.

"You're done for the day. I want you to go home, eat something salty, like french fries or chips. Then I want you to drink a ton of water." Connie explained.

"I can do that." Meredith said. "And you're sure it was just her blood pressure?" Derek asked protectively. "I'm sure." Dr Ryan replied.

"Okay. I'll take her home." He said, looking at his wife, who looked tired suddenly. "And maybe take a nap." Connie added. "Gladly." Meredith said, hoping off of the table.

Derek was quick to put an arm around her to make sure she was steady and walked out with her. "Derek, I'm fine." Meredith said.

"I know, I'm just being..." Derek trailed off. "Protective. I know. Let's go home." Meredith sighed.

The two of them got home and Derek made Meredith sit down the minute they got inside. "Derek, really, I feel much better already." Meredith insisted.

"I know you do, but you have to relax still. I want you to relax regardless of your blood pressure, you deserve it." Derek replied from the kitchen.

Meredith sighed and relaxed into the pillows while rubbing a hand over her swollen stomach. "Here." Derek said, handing her the bag of fries they got from McDonald's and a big glass of water.

"Thanks." Meredith replied, taking them both. Derek put on the tv, and kicked his feet up. "Sorry for making you go home early." Meredith said as she yawned.

"I wanted to go home." Derek chuckled. "Mer, take a nap. Your exhausted. I'll make sure you eat and hydrate agter."

"Okay." Meredith said, closing her eyes and leaning her head on dereks shoulder.

Derek was almost half asleep himself when his phone ringing startled him. He answered quickly as not to wake his wife.

"Hello?" He asked quietly as he stood up carefully and went into the kitchen. "Derek. It's me and mark. We heard about Mer. What's going on? Is she okay?" Addisons worried voice asked.

"She's fine. Her blood pressure dipped too low. Apparently It happens In pregnant woman her size." Derek explained.

"Ohhh. It does, it happened to one of my patients the other day. Is she hydrating and resting?" Addison asked. "Taking a nap as we speak." Derek replied.

"Good. And make sure she eats somewhat good too. She won't like this, but she may also want to start cutting back hours. It'll make it better when she goes on maternity leave." Addison said.

"I'll...try. Highly doubt I'll succeed, but I'll suggest it." He said with a sigh. "Glad she's okay. Greys a tough one." Mark chimed in.

"And stubborn." Derek muttered under his breath. "You can say that again. We just wanted to check in, see how she's doing. See you later." Addison said.

"Bye." Derek replied, hanging up the phone.

Derek went back to the living room and took his seat back. Lately, Meredith had been complaining about her back and her feet, so he'd been researching home remedies and Wayd he could help her feel better.

When she woke up, Derek completely babies her and pampered her. More water and food, then a warm bath, and to end the night a foot and bath massage.

Meredith didn't hate it, to say the least. She actually enjoyed it very much. She was getting to the point in pregnancy where she was starting to get aches everywhere, and luckily Derek Allieved that pain.

"Goodnight, Mer. Love you." Derek whispered. "Love you too." She replied.
