Chapter 28: Wisemen and Rini

Usagi POV
"Lady Moon, I have something I must tell you alone."
I nod my head and let my future self lead me away from the others.
"You must know that the silver crystal is getting weaker as time goes by."
I couldn't hide my shock, "WHAT?!"
"Ssh~!!" We both turned to see everyone staring at us.

Queen Neo Serenity drags me to another room, locks the door, and whispers "I noticed the change after a few years, so to make up for the power I started using more energy."
"But Mamo- I mean Endymion would have noticed..."
"He did and he tried to share his energy with me as much as he could, but you know that I would never allow myself to cause him any discomfort."
I smiled, "Of course. I know as well as you do; we're the same person after all so I'm guessing you pretended everything was fine?"
She nodded her head, "I need you to figure out how to change the future but not too much."
"You want me to find a way to strengthen the crystal?"
She nodded her head, "Trust me, you will need it for the future."

I nodded my head, "I promise, I'll find a way, but I have a question for you."
"Let me guess, you want to know if we managed to break the curse?"
I blushed and looked at the ground. "So...do we?"
She nodded her head. "We manage to break the curse after the strongest enemy we could ever face. In fact, I'm currently pregnant with our second child. It's the reason I've kept the silver crystal stored in another room, keeping it away from me was the only way to manage my own health."
"Oh right! I remember Rini telling me before, but if it's that serious then we have to do something. Why is the crystal weakening?"
"Mother has a guess, she thinks it's because I never managed to become emotionally connected to the moon. Despite being part of the Moon Goddess' bloodline, I never cared for the Moon Kingdom. I was, or rather still am, focused on the Earth."
"So you think I should try visiting the Moon more often?"

"Yes, but not just physically. I need you to try and connect yourself with the moon, just like Endymion...."
"....Like Endymion is connected to the Earth." I finished my future self's sentence.
She nodded her head, "Endymion's connection with the Earth is extremely strong. I remember the first time he lost control of his emotions after our rebirth on Earth."
"The battle against Zoisite and Malachite, right? It was when his Golden Crystal enhanced his energy, by channelling it to the Earth he was able to control the weather around him. So I need to be able to do something similar. Hold on, the first time?! He loses control again?!"
My future self shrugs her shoulders, "What do you expect, Endymion loses control whenever it comes to us."
"True. Can I ask why he lost his control? He didn't lose control even after I was almost killed by Al and Ann."
"I've already told you too much. Just know this, his connection to the Earth gets so strong. You need to try to do the same with the Moon."
I nodded my head and she led me back to everyone else. They were all shouting.

"Quiet! What is all this commotion about!" My future self says.
It immediately becomes quiet. 'Wow, looks like I manage to become a good Queen, I think?'
After receiving a quick report, I turn to my future self.
"You don't have the silver crystal, I do. You should stay here with King Endymion."
She nodded her head, "Please, bring back our daughter."
Tears run down her face. King Endymion hugs her with worry on his own face.
Endymion also reaches out to hug me. We send love and support to each other through our bond.
"Let's go girls, we have a princess to save!" Venus shouts.
"Hai!"

Diamond manages to teleport us directly to wisemen. I gasp at what is in front of us.
"Welcome! You've come at the right time, the dark gate is about to open!"
"Not while we're still here." Jupiter shouts.
"There is nothing you can do to stop us now! Why don't you just talk with Black Lady while it opens."
"Black Lady?"
I stare at who looks like Rini, "Are you Rini?"
Her golden moon has flipped and turned black, 'This can't be, he's managed to brainwash her!'
"Endymion, we have to help her."
"I'll deal with wisemen, have the girls help you with...Black Lady."
"No, wisemen is stronger. Take the girls with you, I'll be fine alone."
