Chapter 8: End of The Evil Generals-edited

Setting: 2 weeks later

Usagi POV

' Our battles have been getting harder to win lately, and  Mercury is really fired up this time. The last seven battles have been rough on her because we couldn't defeat Zoisite's clone. I wonder when the next attack will be?'

I was walking with Mamoru when all of the sudden, a red ball of energy flies towards us. Mamoru grabs me into his arms and tries to shield me from what looks like an offensive attack. However, it was a teleportation ball.

I opened my eyes to see Zoisite in front of us, "Welcome, Tuxedo Mask and Lady Moon! Today, I will play fair and square. All you have to do is leave your share of the rainbow crystals in the middle. Here, I'll go first."

Zoisite's clone takes out the three fake rainbow clones and puts them in the middle and walks away. Mamoru does the same with the four fake crystals.

Just then, the rainbow crystals are teleported away.

"Hey, you promised to play fair and square!" Mamoru yelled.

'Mamoru, calm down. It's okay, remember I have the crystal. Those are fake.'

'I know, it just frustrates me to see them act this way!'

"Why don't you introduce yourself?" I said to the new opponent.

"My name is Malachite. I am the head of the four generals under Queen Beryl."

Zoisite then hugs Malachite, and smiles, "This should show you how close we are. Knowing that, we're even in players for the game. Here are the rules, you two have to find a way to snatch the crystals back. The game ends when either one of us are defeated."

"Zoi, Queen Beryl told us not to touch Tuxedo Mask."

"Don't worry, I'll just tell her it was an accident. After all, Jadeite was defeated by Lady Moon and Nephrite was defeated by Lady Mars. She would be happy that we eliminated them and stayed alive."

Malachite nodded his head. They started their attack before we could transform.

'Dammit, I can't reveal the crystal yet!'

We had no choice but to run away to find a chance to transform. Just then, Mamoru was hit by Zoisite's crystal and injured his shoulder, "No!"

I ran to him, "Are you okay? Why isn't your crystal healing you?"

"Shh, I'm fine. I'm saving my energy for an attack."

Angry at my love's injury, I transform while the enemy's been distracted.

Zoisite smirks, "So you've finally transformed? What will that change?"

"Oh, I'll show you!"

I revealed my true skills under the disguise of anger, "Now you'll see what happens when you anger a Lady!"

I close the distance between us and attack. They were surprised but were able to dodge every one of my attacks.

I backed away, "Fine, what about this!"

I take out the wand I've used in our past seven battles, "Moon...Healing...ESCALATION!"

Too desperate to end the match and restore the two generals to their formal self, I used some of my crystal's power to strengthen my wand's attack.  Unfortunately, Malachite was able to protect them from the blast.

'How? They shouldn't have been able to block that attack!'

Exhausted, I start to fall to the ground. Luckily, Mamoru who was able to transform, caught me.
