Chapter 38: Saturn and Moon

Saturn POV:

"Lady Moon, I believe this person relies on equipment more than her powers."

"Yes, I've noticed that she's been pulling out jet shoes to increase movement, fire torches, bombs...it's as if her power is mainly storage."

I jump out of the way of another fire beam. Saturn reflects the fire back to the red haired witch.

'How rude, she still hasn't introduced herself!'

Saturn begins to attack mid range with her scythe.

"Lady Moon, I can handle her on my own!"

I shake my head, "We need to work together! Besides, I want to ask her a few questions."

"Alright then, I assume we'll have to find something to bind her with."

"Well, I was actually hoping Lady Venus could do that with her chain."

"Then maybe Lady Venus should have switched spots with me."

"No, the other two witches needed to be defeated with pure teamwork. Only Venus and Jupiter can perform a tag-team sufficient enough. Besides, the two of us are more than enough to capture this red head!"

"Agreed!" Lady Saturn said with a more determined look.

"It's starting to make me angry! How dare you ignore me and, talk amongst yourself! Don't underestimate me!"

She pulls out a new gun, this time, the barrel of the gun has their signature black star on it.

"With this, I can defeat and collect your heart crystals in one shot!"

I start to grow nervous. Saturn can block that attack but, I'd have to use the crystal if I want to block it.

'Relying on the crystal too much, will only reveal my hand to the enemy right now. I'll just have to dodge the attacks.'

However, the one moment I took my mind off the battle was costly. I find myself being pushed out of the way.

Saturn screams as she bangs into a red wall, only to be shot by multiple rounds.

"Saturn!"

"I-I'm fine!"

I rush to her and transfer some of her injuries. For some reason, the crystal still hasn't allowed me to fully heal my ladies. It refuses to do so, and only allows me to transfer their wounds.

"I'm sorry, I got distracted by her gun."

"It's alright. I had noticed that you were spacing out, but I couldn't react fast enough to block it with my scythe. It seems I need to work more on my agility."

"That agility will get you nowhere when you're trapped all ways!"

The walls suddenly reveal several panels of guns. If Saturn used her scythe to protect us from her side, I would have to use the crystal to protect her from the other three directions.

"Saturn, I'll cast a barrier around us. You should use your special attack."

"That attack is strong enough to destroy an entire kingdom! I've only been focusing on increasing the damage, I don't have the confidence nor ability to minimize it."

"Then can you reflect all the bullets if you're on your own?"

"I can do that with my 'Silent Wall' but what about yourself?"

"Don't worry about me, I'll deal with that red head!"

"Is it just me or do you have a grudge against ref heads?"

I nod my head, "Beryl, Ann, and that other leader of theirs, plus this witch...there are way too many red heads."

I don't wait to hear her reply, instead, I jump as high as I can towards the witch. She looks at me surprised, and guards against my kick.

"But my bullet walls should have dealt with you!"

"Those won't be enough to finish us off!"

'If they were then, the Earth would have been conquered by Beryl and Metallica already...'

"Then I'll just finish you first!" She continues to aim at me with that star barrelled gun of hers.

"You're the leader of all those ladies, and they seem very protective of you, so you must be the one carrying a pure heart crystal!"

I shake my head, "Haven't you already learned the answer to that assumption of yours?"

'It seems they don't communicate with each other. She should have known that my heart crystal already revealed that I wasn't one of the carriers.'

I power up my wand, "Moon..."

All of the sudden, my crystal heart starts leaving my body. I almost scream in pain, it feels as if my soul is being ripped out of me.

"Lady Moon!"

"Serenity!"

I look up to see everyone running towards me.

But it was too late, my heart crystal forced itself out of my body, and flew to the three outer ladies: Neptune, Uranus and Pluto.

Pluto looked at me in shock, "this...I didn't expect it to happen like this."

Tuxedo Mask POV

"Serenity!" I shout as her heart crystal lands in between the three ladies.

All I can hear is Pluto whispering, "this...I didn't expect it to happen like this."

But then all my attention went into my love. She was on the ground, already turning pale.

'This can't be happening again.'

I try to gently grab her heart crystal, but it rejects me. Instead, it flies towards Pluto's hand.

I run to my love, and maintain her body with my crystal.

"Pluto! Give it back to her now!""

She shakes her head, "This was the last piece. The legend mentioned that after the three talismans appear, one special heart crystal must be sacrificed for the holy chalice to appear."

"I don't care about the Holy Chalice!" I shout in rage.

"Wasn't Lady Moon supposed to be the user of the Holy Chalice?" Mercury asks in worry.

"That's right! How can she use it if you sacrifice her!" Mars yells.

"It wasn't my choice, it was the heart crystal that voluntarily left her body." Pluto replies with a sad tone.

"You have to be kidding me!" Uranus shouts in equal rage.

"This doesn't make sense, Lady Moon already told us the truth. How can she use the Holy Chalice if she's the one we have to sacrifice. And why does it have to be her?" Nepune asks in confusion.

During our confusion, the red witch disappeared.

"We should leave this talk for later, right now, we need to retreat!" Saturn says, taking control.

"Not with this~"

All of the sudden, Serenity's heart crystal is in the hands of the red witch.

"Give it back!" Pluto yells in horror.

"Too bad~ This will be my gift to my boss, but I'll be back for the talismans."
