Chapter 14: Arrival of the Daughter

The next morning

Usagi POV: 

It's Saturday and Mamoru came to pick me up. He wanted to take me out on a date, as a break from our duties as Lady Moon and Tuxedo Mask. 

'It would be nice if I can give the Inner Ladies a break, even if it's a few days.' 

"Usagi?" 

"Oops, I must have been too focused on my thoughts." 

"What were you thinking about?" 

"Well, I want to give the girls a break before our new enemy appears..." 

Mamoru nodded his head, "That would be a nice idea but, at our current strength-we can't afford to relax yet." 

I nodded my head, "I know. I was just thinking about the chances of hiding the new enemy for a few days...." 

I could tell Mamoru was against it, "Don't worry, it was only a fleeting thought." 

"Good." 

Forgetting about our worries, Mamoru helped me onto a boat. 

"It's so beautiful."

 I whispered as I held my hair away from my face. Despite the wind bothering my hair, I enjoyed it. After all, the weather was amazing. Not to mention, this was a sight I could never have seen on the Moon. 

Mamoru reached over to tuck a loose strand behind my ear, "But not as beautiful as you." 

We spent the time on the boat talking about our previous life as Royalty of our own kingdoms. At some point, Mamoru had shifted me into his arms. 

Holding hand, he laughed and teased me about our past. 

"I remember you got caught once." 

"You mean more than once." 

He laughed as he kissed my forehead, "Yes and each time you got caught, Mercury had you study twice as hard." 

I shivered, "I get goosebumps just thinking about all the studying she made me do." 

"You never really told me about your studies." 

"Well, they were the usual princess studies: etiquette, dancing, party managements, information about the kingdom's systems and people, etc." 

"Oh yeah, I went through similar studies." 

"That makes sense, you were a prince after all." 

"The only difference would be that I was training in the sword arts, while you were just starting with your training- with the silver crystal." 

I nodded my head, "It was unbearable until I met you." 

He lifted me up and twirled be back into his lap. I blushed as I straddled him, "Well, the time we spent apart was unbearable for the both of us. Which is something neither of us will have to go through again." 

We leaned in to kiss, when all of the sudden I sensed Pluto's voice in my head. I pushed Mamoru away, Pluto would only contact me this way if it was an emergency. 

'Princess, can you hear me?' 

'Pluto, what's wrong?'

'Just wanted to give you an update before I open the time gate.' 

'You're opening the time gate?!'
