Chapter 19: Venus vs Jupiter

Usagi POV

It's been three weeks since the Inner Scouts have betrayed me. During the first week, Mercury and Mars returned. Both have remembered that while I do need physical protection, the thing I needed the most was their love and trust. In other words, I needed them to care for me as their friend and comrade, more than as their princess.

At lot had happened in the second week. Mars defeated Koan with her planet power. This allowed me to purify Koan and turn her into a white moon clan member. She's kept her original powers, as a result, we had her move to the moon.

Berthier challenged Mercury too. Honestly, it was a close call. But we were lucky enough for Mercury to pull through. Koan was also there to talk Berthier into giving up. Something along the lines of wanting to be true sisters, and not hating each other as they have. That the path they were on is wrong.

And now, it's the third week we've been facing these sisters. They have two sisters who are still attacking us: Petz and Calaveras. Leaving us to where we are right now.

The two sisters are competing against each other for this Rubeus man. Apparently, the one who destroys us and capture Rini will win his heart. This gives us an upper hand since they're not synced.

'Yet why are Jupiter and Venus not in sync as well? I get that Jupiter hasn't forgiven Venus for hurting me but, she's already forgiven Mercury and Mars. Then there's the fact that Venus is as stubborn as I am. Despite being the one who leads the scouts, she hasn't opened her eyes to the truth.'

Calaveras has both my Ladies trapped in her rope. Meanwhile, Petz is electrifying them with a staff.

'Why hasn't she used her own powers rather than relying on that staff? I don't like that staff, it gives me the goosebumps.'

I rub my arms to try to calm myself. Due to Venus being stubborn, I haven't transformed yet. Not to mention, I'm currently out numbered. So I'm stuck hiding until backup arrives.

Yet the screams of Venus while she's suffering and the sight of Jupiter gritting her teeth in pain, has me transforming.

"Lady Moon, why are you here?!" Venus shouted.

I ignored her, instead I looked at Jupiter, "How are you holding up?"

"Their lighting isn't damaging me too much, it's more of the negative energy that the lightning contains."

I nod my head. "I'll free you right now, hold still."

I attacked Calaveras, only to be countered by the staff's lightning.

'Usagi! I thought you agreed on waiting for backup?'

'Sorry but, I couldn't just wait while they were being injured. But I really need your help.'

'Hang in there! I'm five minutes away!'

I eyed my opponents. Calaveras is holding onto the rope that's keeping Venus and Jupiter still. That means she's basically taken care of. I just have to worry about the oldest sister: Petz.

I took in a deep breath, "Since you're so eager to attack me, I'll deal with you first!"

She laughed, "The future Queen that couldn't protect her own kingdom will defeat me?! Don't make me laugh!"

She jumped off the lighting post, and ran straight for me. She attacked using the staff's sharp end.

'She's so fast!'

I dodged all her attacks but she seemed to just keep getting faster. In the end, I received many scratches and one stab to the shoulder. I was also attacked with her strong lighting and negative energy.
