Chapter 34: Truth (1)

Usagi's POV

Setting: Moon Kingdom, Lake of Serenity

"Princess, I thought I would find you here."

"Saturn, did you need me for something?"

"I came here to update you on the situation with the Mugen Academy."

"That's the academy Uranus, Neptune and Pluto believe the Death Busters are using as their headquarters, right? How is it going?"

"Yes, so far we've found out that it's only one of their bases. We suspect that their real headquarters are at my father's place. After all, the explosion at his lab was probably caused by the evil energy that's created the Death Busters."

I shake my head, I know what they're planning to do.

'It's reckless without their talismans. If we all go together, then we should be fine. But those three are as stubborn as ever. They still cannot work completely together with the Inner Ladies. Yet, they're perfectly fine with Lady Saturn. Just what is the difference?'

"Princess, we will attack tonight. I came to let you know as the Outer Ladies' leader. Our mission is to decrease the Death Buster's numbers and, gain more information of the enemy numbers and abilities."

"Let us come with you. You can't handle it alone."

"Unfortunately, those three cannot trust themselves to protect you while fulfilling their mission. They still have to find the messiah and the talismans."

"Pluto already knows. She just hasn't told them because it isn't time." I argue back.

"Princess, we all know that you've been spending your energy to strengthen the imperial silver crystal. Making a physical and emotional connection to the Moon is not an easy task. You must save your energy for the big battle."

I give the sweet girl a big hug, "You have only just begun to understand what life is like...I don't want you to carry the burden of being a leader by yourself. You must convince them to let us join tonight, because either way I will be there with my Inner Ladies."

Releasing her, I give her a big big smile. I haven't had much time to see her outside of our duties as protectors of the Earth and Moon. So, I've been planning on monopolizing her the moment I have a chance to, and that chance is today!

"Now let's return to Earth! I have a big plan for today! We're going to go clothes shopping, visit cafes and eat tons of sweets~ I also want to hear if you have any interests in a particular boy! Then we'll also visit the aquariums and nearby museums! Maybe even go rollerskating~ We're going to be busy today!!!"

TIMESKIP: MIDNIGHT

Saturn managed to convince the three to let me join their night invasion on one condition: the Inner Ladies, Mamoru and his boys will always be with me. However, what they don't know is that I've already scouted out Tokyo's energy levels. It's clear the the Mugen academy is where the Death Busters are secretly operating with the students as their victims. It's the only reason they've been attacking less frequently.

I've already found all the key figures. I just have to end this before anything is revealed to the Outer Ladies. Their talismans will appear when it's time. They don't need their talismans to be forcibly awakened by those five in the academy.

Uranus reveals a map of the academy floors and, circles four offices.

"There are four prefects, we believe that they are all part of the Death busters. They've filled with evil energy."

"Alright then, the Outers will take the two on the left, we'll take the two on the right."

"Sounds good." Saturn and Venus agree with me.
