Serenity and Endymion

Chapter 27: Our Future Selves- edited

Prince Diamond POV
"Tell me who you are first." I replied.
However, before she replied, a sword was placed on my neck.
"Let go of Serenity, now."
I immediately recognize that face and aura, "You're Prince Endymion...Here, take her. She needs to rest."
He puts his swords back in, and immediately hugs her. The lady in the gray suit quietly walks away, like a cat.

Serenity POV
"...renity!"
"..up,ple....."

'Who is it? That voice sounds so familiar.'
"op....u.....eyes!"
"She n...s...you.....cry.....wer."

'What are they saying?'
All of the sudden, the darkness around me starts to recede.
"Serenity, it's time to wake up. Endymion and the girls are waiting for you. You still have much to do."
I open my eyes to see my love. His ocean blue eyes widen, "Serenity, You're finally awake!"

I look around, "Where am I?"
"You're in the future."

I look to see where that voice came from.
I blink several times. Then I look back and forth from my love and him.
"Endymion..."
"Yes" they both replied.
"There are two of you."
The more transparent version of Endymion shakes his head, "To be more precise...I'm the future version of Endymion. I'm King Endymion; your future self's husband."

I nodded my head, "I remember what happened. Where's Rini?"
"She's sleeping over there." Endymion said.
I look over to where he points, only to see her sleeping near my feet. I couldn't see her earlier because she was covered in another blanket.

I carefully get up to lay her beside me. Endymion tried to help but I shook my head.
"I'm fine now, I can do this."

King Endymion leaves to call the girls over.
"I was so worried. You were unconscious in the hands of that Prince. You weren't showing any signs of waking up and you were starting to get cold too. I had to use my crystal to help you replenish all the energy you used...I thought I would really lose you this time."
As he hugs me, I feel his body shaking. I can feel through our bond that he's still scared, but relieved, worried but happy.
"I'm glad."
He looks at me as if I'm crazy, "What are you talking about?!"
"Shhh~ hear me out. I'm happy that you were so worried about me, that you were beside me, and that you chased after me."
"Serenity~ of course I would."
"I know, you know I'd do the same thing." He doesn't reply back.

I pull his sleeve and make space for him, "I want you to join me in bed."
Immediately, he gets into bed. He then proceeds to place me in front of him, and covers the three of us with the large blanket.

The door opens to reveal all the girls, and Prince Diamond.
Prince Diamond had revealed everything to them, only to be kept under watch for any suspicious movements. His new moon should have proved his story but, it was a good idea to keep him under watch.
'I wouldn't have ordered them to do that though.'

It's been a week since I've woken up. I've fully recovered my energy, and we decided to try and wake Queen Neo Serenity from her slumber.
"Silver Imperial Crystal, please...help me fulfill my wishes."
The crystal starts to shine with power.
'It's taking much more effort to use the crystal. I wonder if that's because the current crystal is weaker than the future's?'
I continue to shower my future self, King Endymion and the future ladies with my energy.

After moments of using the crystal, I can feel myself weakening. So I reach out to Endymion. He holds my shoulder and shares some of his with me. I close my eyes to focus.
Immediately, the crystal around my future self recedes. My future self opens her eyes. Following her, is King Endymion. However, the future ladies don't wake up.
I almost collapse, but Endymion holds me up.

"You did a great job, Serenity." I look up to see Queen Neo Serenity smiling.
"Mommy, Daddy!" Rini runs to them.

"I'm so sorry, this is all my fault! I wanted to become an adult but, when I touched the crystal it disappeared!"
I watched as our future selves calmed her down.

"I'll miss her." I whispered to Endymion.
"Me too, but we still have some time left with her. We have to deal with Wiseman after all."
