Chapter 10: The Dark Kingdom-edited

Setting: Outside the Dark Kingdom

"Alright then, the DD girls are going to attack the Ladies first so I want a general close to a Lady at all times."

Twenty minutes of walking later, we saw Motoki hanging on a vine. Mercury analyzed it, "It's an illusion just like Tuxedo Mask said!"

The DD girls undid their illusions, "It seems the prince and the generals have betrayed us."

"Queen Beryl won't be happy..."

" But all we have to do is kill the Ladies."

"That's easy enough."

"Then shall we?"

All of the sudden, they disappeared and reappeared from the ground. Their first target was Jupiter, the second strongest in our group.

"Jupiter!" Nephrite yelled.

"Stay away!"

All of the sudden, they started electrocuting her.

 "Don't look away. This is reality. By looking away, you ignore their sacrifice."

With tears in their eyes, they continued to watch. "Don't just stand there, take the prince and princess to safety! They must defeat Beryl and Metallia!"

Nephrite pushed us all to go ahead.

While running, we heard Jupiter yell, "Jupiter...Supreme Thunder Dragon!"

We heard the roar of thunder and continued with tears in our eyes. Twenty minutes later, Ami spoke up, "My computer senses their energy close by. I'll try to defeat at least one of them and stall you some time."

"Don't worry, she won't be alone." Zoisite said.

"No, you must be there for the princess and the prince. If all the ladies die, who will be there to protect them. You must survive."

He nodded his head, "I understand, if that is your wish. I will respect it."

Ami smiled and waved goodbye.

"Ami! You must return!" 

Ami was soon locked into water, which quickly turned to ice.

"I won't be defeated." We heard her say before we saw her smash one of the DD girls forehead with her Mercury Computer.

The ice seemed to be an illusion as we heard her yell one last time, "Mercury, Bubble Spray Freezing!"

This time, the ice was real but it wasn't enough to defeat the girls. However, Mercury laid on the ground, too injured from her own attack. 

"We've arrived at the halfway point, from here we're forty minutes away." Tuxedo Mask informed us.

I moved to the head of the group, "I'll lead the group from here on."

Just then, Venus pushed me out of the way, "Princess, watch out!"

"Venus!" 

Venus was dragged into the ice ground while Kunzite pushed us forward. Minako was clearly suffering as we heard her cry in pain. All of the sudden, we heard her yell, "Venus, Crescent Beam Shower!"

We looked back to see her beam destroy one of the remaining three. Venus fell to the ground as she struggled to get up. 

Then, she was engulfed by ice and her body hanged lifeless. I quickly explained to the rest of the group, "When the scouts are attacked with an energy blast strong enough to kill them, they can be healed by the surrounding positive energy. However, in this case, we're surrounded by negative energy which automatically forms ice around their bodies. Being so weak, the ice ends up killing them, rather then becoming positive energy that enables us to heal faster. If you go back, you'll see Jupiter and Mercury also hanging on ice."
