BZZZN!!! The alarm buzzed softly revealing it to be 4 in the morning. Robbie had already been up. He had been sitting on his bed in his gray sweater and his black sweatpants since around 1 in the morning. He didn't need much sleep anyways. Quietly getting off his bed Robbie slipped on his orange and blue sneakers. His mom would be so furious at him for wearing them in the house. Looking up he tied his shoelaces and grabbed his red watch. He put it on quickly and tiptoed across the blue, rugged floor and down the creaking old oakwood stairs. He hurried into the dark kitchen and quietly took out his favourite cereal (honey cheerios) from the cupboard. He warmed the cold milk in the microwave and poured in the crunchy cereal. As he quickly gobbled down the cereal, he heard a sound making him freeze. He hurriedly finished his cereal, quietly washing his plate out in the sink and carefully opening the door.

He hurried down the newly tiled apartment stairs, taking special care to make sure he didn't step on Meowms, the neighbors flooffy, but evil cat. He started to jog along the pavement once he was outside. It was so early the birds hadn't even woken up. He loved coming out at this time. It was so quiet and relaxing. He gradually picked up speed, sprinting by old Mr Percy who was on the porch rocking in his chair and smoking his pipe. That man is always patrolling the neighborhood with his eyes. He never sleeps. He sees everything except his uncut lawn..... Robbie waved, continuing his morning run. As Robbie's mind started to get relaxed, he remembered his dad. His dad had died of a heart attack a few years back. His mom still struggled to make ends meet ever since his dad died. She worked two jobs and she worked very hard at them. Robbie tried his best to help out as much as he could. Robbie pushed those thoughts away as he saw two pre-teens beating on a little kid who was around 8 or 9. The kid reminded him self when he was younger. AYE"! Robbie shouted. Leave the kid alone"! "I'll tell yo mom on you ". Robbie quipped. On hearing the prospect of their parents being called, the boys started to leave quickly. "Cmon bro lets bounce" grumbled the one with the fiery red hair, and black leather jacket sulkily. "Yeah he's not worth it" the boy with the leather black hair and the dark blue sweater replied walking off. "What's your name kid? Robbie asked as he approached the little boy extending his hand to help him off the ground and to help him brush himself off. "The boy totally ignored his question and huffily replied "I totally could have beat them". Robbie looked at the kid. He was a scrawny kid with bright orange hair and glasses so huge that his face was practically swimming in them. "Yeah.....no. They would have totally whupped your butt". As Robbie spoke to the kid he got him to open up and found out that he was searching for his lost cat. Robbie and the kid searched the entire neighborhood for the cat eventually finding him on top of Mr.Millers house with his hair on end, hiding from the dogs below. As soon as Robbie got him down he asked for the kids address and took him home. Warning him to stay off the streets Robbie started jogging. The kid ran up to Robbie tugged on his shirt and said:"My name is William by the way". "And I'm Robbie" he said. Glancing at his watch and remembering that he had to get back home before his mother woke up, Robbie said a quick goodbye to William and dashed off toward his appartment.

As he ran back to his appartment he heard lots of talking and even the birds were chirping noisily. He hadn't intended to spend that long. When he reached his apartment, the grumpy cat, Meowms, hissed at him. He quickly jumped out of the way, not wanting to face the wrath of the angry cat. As he headed towards the door he remembered that he had a DIFFERENT kind of wrath to face. His mom. He sighed opening the door where his mom was right there waiting for him with hands on her hips as her face burned with anger. "ROBBIE ORLANDO MALCOM! Where were you"? Angela (his mom) shouted fuming."I just went jogging mom". Robbie replied looking apologetically. Jogging?! Jogging?! She shouted sarcastically. "Robbie, why didn't you just ask to go? I was so frightened that I was about to call the police". Robbie looked down at the ground. He had seen the fright in her eyes as her voice trembled. He knew his mom only wanted what was best for him. It wasnt easy to raise three teenage kids on her own. The door opened and in came Robbie's brothers. They were sweaty and panting. "Where are they coming from"? asked Robbie. "They  were looking for YOU "! said Angela giving him 'The Eye'. But just when Robbie thought he was getting away with it, his younger brother,Herbie, piped up:"As if it's the first time"! Angela slowly looks around at Robbie. All of his instincts told him to run. Angela said to Robbie: "Well young man you better get used to your room because you are GROUNDED!For a month! Understood? Robbie imagined a whole month in his room. The very thought made him shiver. "But-"Robbie tried. "No Buts". Knowing his fate was decided, Robbie went to take a shower. As he had a flashback.

~ Flashback ~
Young Robbie was running down the stairs in the house. His dad was reading the news paper and eating his daily treat: a huge chunk of bread slobbered with warm, melted butter as he sat comfortably in his favourite La-Z-Boy recliner chair. He sprinted over to his dad and jumped in his lap. His father laughed, his massive belly quaking like jello as his laughter resonated throught the house. Robbie giggled as he squirmed off his father's leg and raced outside. His brothers and their friend, Shawn stood in front of the tree whispering about something. He ran over to hear but Shawn pushed Robbie out of the way taunting him: "Orphans can't play with us"! Robbie's brothers looked on waiting eagerly for a fight. Robbie looked at Shawn in contempt as he continued taunting him. His brothers stood there egging Shawn on. Robbie started getting angrier and angrier. Robbie lunged angrily at Shawn and they began to fight.

~Meanwhile inside~
Robbie's Dad was sitting in the house enjoying his bread and butter which his doctor told him wasnt good for his health. Suddenly he heard a horrified scream. He bolted outside the kitchen only to find Shawn on the ground unconscious and his hand bent unnaturally. He looked at Herbie then Ferbie then at Robbie. Ferbie looked like a trembling leaf, and Herbie looked as white as a snow. Robbie however was trembling but not in fear. Robbie was looking so angry that his face was red and his knuckles and fingertips were white from clenching them. His father carefully took up the still unconscious Shawn (who passed out from seeing the state of his arm) and put him gently in the car. He called the boys in and started the car. No one spoke as they drove to the hospital. Robbie's dad broke the silence as he called Shawn's mom. "Mrs Farquharnson! There was an accident and your son seams to have broken his arm. P-please calm down- yes I'm taking him there now. Yes I'll meet you there. Bye". Glancing over the driver's seat at his father, Robbie knew he was in for it. He slumped back in his seat. His brothers sat on either side of him still frozen from shock. Robbie looked over at Shawn who was STILL unconscious. "Look at him" Robbie thought. "Look what he caused to happen to him" Robbie thought looking at the unconscious figure. When they reached the hospital, Mrs Farquharnson (Shawn's mom) rushed over to the car and in her haste almost fell over the speed bump."My baby"! she yelled grabbing at Shawn ,who had woke up (finally) in her arms. As the porters came rushing out with a hospital stretcher for Shawn, Robbie's dad looked at Robbie giving him the eyes that said: 'you are in sooo much trouble'. Robbie felt like he shrunk 10 feet under his father's scrutinizing gaze.

~End of flashback ~
Robbie quickly grabbed his red and black watch and put it on. He then rummaged through his closet for his blue short-sleeved shirt and his red leather jacket. He grabbed his bag and ran downstairs to eat his breakfast. Herbie and Ferbie sat at the table eating pancakes and giggling. Robbie sat at the table to eat his fried eggs. On his eggs he saw some ketchup slobbered on to say the word GROUNDED. Herbie and Ferbie's giggling erupted into full out laughter. Robbie looked at them both. He brushed most of the ketchup of and squinting his eyes he began to eat his breakfast. As Robbie bit into his eggs he bit right into some red hot chili powder. Robbie yelled as the pepper scorched his mouth with pain. Herbie laughed so hard he fell backwards off his chair. Robbie got up and was about to slap Herbie and Ferbie silly when his mother came in to see what all the commotion was about. She was getting ready for work and was not in the mood for fooling around. Robbie explained the situation to his mom, who grounded Herbie as well. Herbie started to snitch on Ferbie telling their mom that he was involved. Ferbie denied taking part in the mischievous prank. "Open your hands then" said their mother. Ferbie opened his hands and they were clean, with no trace of chilli or ,ketchup, unlike Herbie's hands which were stained with ketchup and chilli dust. Mrs Malcom stood up, giving Robbie a block of ice, ungrounded him and warning the boys to quit horsing around. Ferbie walked out the room sticking his tongue out at Herbie. Everyone left the room leaving Herbie standing there with his mouth wide open.

Soooo how was it guys? Don't be shy leave a like and comment. What could I have done better? Do you think Herbie deserved his punishment? Until then, peace out. ✌
