As Fortitude zipped through the street, occasionally leaping across buildings looking for Johnny, he saw a news team videotaping a fight between an adult and a teenager in a hood, both aberrants. The apartment behind them looked extremely unstable. He had to stop this. Speeding over to the scene, he caught a slab of wall, which the man had thrown. "Ey man, whats going on here?"he asked. The man ignored him launching himself at the boy, growling savagely. The boy in the hood, who had a busted lip lightly swollen eyes and a bleeding face, made some sort of magical cloud hands, smacking the man into the already unstable building. This was too much for him to handle at once. Even if he should run at super speed, the man would be sure to reach the boy, battering him to death. He frowned. Guess he had to talk his way out of this one. Grabbing the man, he wrestled him to the ground. The man was very strong, but he was stronger. Besides, the guy seemed to be pretty new to his abilities. "Hey, can it redhead. Whats going on here man?" The man angrily told the story, trying to escape. Robbie looked at the boy. He was around his age, but with the bruises on his face, it was hard to tell what he looked like. Just then, a streak of silver passed the crowd. Everyone looked around in awe, even the two fighting abberants. Their awe soon turned into laughter when they saw the newly arrived aberrant tripped, flying face first into the ground. (Yes. Its terrible.) The newly arrived aberrant got up, looking around and grinning like an idiot. Fortitude didn't even know what to say. Gripping the man, who was currently trying to escape, Fortitude looked over at the boy. "Hey, you! Speedy! A little help over here?" Fortitude said. The speedster zipped over, leaving a trail of silver behind him. "I need your help here. Take the unconscious kid to the hospital, and then we will deal with this guy." The speedster took off, only to reapear seconds later. Alright, you deal with this guy. I'll fix the building."Everyone, stand back!" Fortitude yelled to the crowd. Igniting his laser vision, he welded the metal of the building, so that it wouldn't fall. But it needed something more. Looking around, he spotted a sign nearby. Speeding over to the sign, he yanked it out of the ground, speeding back over to the building. Igniting his laser vision once again, he cut the pole open, and straightened it out. Welding the metal to the exposed area, he realized that he needed more metal.
After finding more peices of metal and welding them on to the areas, he stepped back and looked at his work. While it didn't look neat, it did keep the building up. Looking around, he remembered the silver speedster and the other abberant. The man who was so muscular and strong a second ago, now looked weak and defeated. The man tried to reach out for something on the ground. Fortitude saw a bag with yellow and red pills on the Infront of him, some of the pills scattered on the ground. Fortitude picked them up, packing them all into the little plastic bag. "Good work dude. Cya around."he said, waving to the speedster, who grinned broadly and shot off. Fortitude gave a salute to the crowd, picking up the man and his pills, speeding off to the Airlock. Remembering that he still couldn't fly, Robbie grumbled, regretting not taking that flying lesson earlier. Speeding over to a police station, he dropped of the man, ensuring that the held him in custody. Running at top speed, Robbie shot off into Orion City, looking for a forensics lab. Finally seeing one (after running around the whole city) he picked up the pills. His clothes was smoking again. Taking off his jacket, he quickly blew on it lightly with freeze breath (so that it wouldn't freeze totally). Putting it back on, he brought the pills inside.
Looking around the lab, he heard the door swing open. A young lady with goggles and blond hair came in. She took off the goggles, seeing Fortitude. "Fortitude?" She asked. "Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for saving my sister. I owe you one now. Anytime you need something, I'm always here." Fortitude smiled, not that she could see it anyway.
After a while of talking, Fortitude remembered the reason why he was there. "Oh, by the way, I need you to check this out for me." Placing the bag on the table, Fortitude walked to the window. "I'll come back to check it out." Opening the window, Fortitude leaped out, causing the lady to run to the window to see if he was ok. Fortitude bounded off into city, heading back to school. Breezing past buildings, he knew he had to hurry.
Climbing in through the window, Robbie changed his clothes at superspeed. Picking up his bag, he walked out the door, late for class. His teacher, would personally kill him. Robbie sighed, took a deep breath, and walked into class. The teacher wasn't in class. Robbie smiled. Robbie sat in his seat, feeling an intense glare in his direction. Turning around, Robbie saw Sally the Snitch, the worlds most obnoxious child. Robbie locked eyes with her challenging her. He had to end this, and fast. If she was allowed even a second, she would win, and his goose, would be cooked. Sally narrowed her eyes, not flinching. Robbie couldn't show fear. Narrowing his gaze, he looked at her, dead serious. The girl eyes quivered. He could tell she was going to blink. A second later, Sally blinked rapidly, rubbing her eyes. Robbie smirked. He had won. Fair and square. Sally grumbled from her position in her seat. Grabbing his book, he looked over at Jessica, who smiled at him. Copying the activity from the board, Robbie sighed contentedly. Life was getting better. Maybe things would be fine after all.
