𝗥𝗼𝗯𝗯𝗶𝗲: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

Monsters

Robbie finished school and was looking for a bus. He had to go to work soon. He was almost at his goal of five hundred thousand dollars. He had been putting in overtime recently, which he didn't really mind, considering that he didn't get tired. Looking around, he spotted his mom on the other side of the crowd, looking for him. Walking over to her, Robbie was confused. His mother didn't usually come to school, considering that she had work. "Hey mom. " he said, greeting her. His mother laughed, giving him a big hug, taking him aside. "Are you ok? Are you hurt?"she asked checking him over for any signs of injury. "No mom, I'm fine" Robbie said, reassuring his mother. " I may not be totally invincible, but I can deal with a couple bullets." His mother face brightened. "I heard that Superion helped to save some of those people. Did you thank him?she asked. Robbie paused. "Uh, well...." he began. "Robbie! I raised you better than that!" His mother exclaimed pouting at him. Robbie smirked secretly waking home with his mother. Robbie looked over at the car dealership nearby. He had his eye on a bike there for a while. He really wanted to buy it, but he knew that his mother needed the money more than he did. He was determined to buy his mom a house of her own, where they didn't have to live in Mr Crossford's appartment. Just because he owned the building, he felt that he had the right to do as he wanted. Robbie wanted to take his stupid little hat and shove it up his-

" Look! its Starlad!"someone shouted. Robbie looked up in the air, hearing the whooshing noise of Starlad zooming through the city. The Global Justice was back. The last time he heard of them, they went to another galaxy, to hold some intergalactic meeting. Swooping over crowds, he gave a couple of them high-fives while flying. All the cheering turned into chaos when as a enormous beast came out of nowhere, slapping Starlad out of the sky. Robbie tensed up, grabbing his mother and running with her of the city. Putting her down in an abandoned alley, he looked at his mom, smiling, before speeding away. Grabbing his bag, he suited up, running back to the scene, where Starlad was struggling to battle the beast. Fortitude surveyed the situation taking civilians out of the way. After taking them all to safety, Robbie tried punching it, only to find out that its skin was just as durable as his was. Dodging the beast's sharp claws, he tried to leap onto its back, instantly regretting it. The creature blasted electricity from its mouth, hitting him square in the chest, sending him hurtling towards the ground, smoking. Standing up, Robbie shot over to beast. "Dude! Get away from there! That's a Flanagan you freaking numbskull!" Starlad yelled, while blasting beams of light at the beast.

Fortitude ignored him, searching for a makeshift weapon. Breaking a telephone pole out of the ground, he swung it at the beast as hard as he could. The pole managed to hit the Flanagan away, but it broke almost instantly. The Flanagan shook it's self off, ready for round two. Starlad held his bleeding side, where his suit was torn. It looked as if he had been cut by the beast. Starlad opened his belt, taking something out. Pressing it twice, he had a small smile on his face as Superion shot through the city, causing a sonic boom. Fortitude smirked, tightening his gloves. Taking the broken peices of pole, he threw it at the beast temporarily distracting it. While it was distracted, he jumped at the beast, while Superion and Starlad both flew towards it. They all hit the beast under the chin, causing it to fall over. Starlad shot beams of light at the Flanagan while Fortitude adjusted his balaclava and burned it's underside with his heat vision. Superion punched it down, taking a deep breath and froze the beast over, encasing it in ice and quickly vibrated it until it shattered. Starlad collapsed onto the road. Superion lifted him up, checking his injury. Giving Robbie a quick nod, he crouched down and boomed away.

Robbie sped over to the shattered remains of the frozen beast. Lasering each bit, Robbie sighed in relief. The last thing he needed was for some crazy person to clone this thing. Looking around at the approaching news van, Robbie bounded off, running back to the alley. Taking off his mask, Robbie gave his mom a hug. She gripped on to him, making sure he was ok. She looked at his tattered jacket, worry filling her eyes. "I'm ok mom " he said smiling. His mother smiled. "Boy, you better be ok. Otherwise I might have slap you back to ok." The two laughed, enjoying the joke. Robbie picked up his bag and changed his clothes at superspeed. Tucking the destroyed suit back into his bag, Robbie picked up his mom ready to run. "Aye! I'll take a cab. I don't know you manage to go that fast each day and be sick." Robbie chuckled. Calling a cab, Angela hopped in. Robbie waved to her, waiting for her to leave. After she left, Robbie sped off to Mr Paralès Diner. Jasper was already there, and he was moping about. Robbie looked at him, confused. "You good man?"he asked. Jasper frowned. "Have you seen Johnny?" he asked. Robbie shook his head. Jasper sighed, turning back taking another person's order. Robbie knew that he had to do something. Going into the bathroom, Robbie listened out for Johnny. He heard bugs flying, ants crawling and snails squelching their way up the wall. He heard flowers blooming, people talking and children playing. But all he could hear was his own city. Which meant, Johnny was either out of the city or just staying quiet. Robbie's face fell. He needed to find Johnny. But his suit was trashed. He would need some help. Thinking back to the device that Starlad had, Robbie smirked. He knew what to do. He just needed to create a type of sound to attract Superion.
