Fortitude bounded into the air with one swift leap, flying off to find the rowdy abberant. He didn't need to fly far however, as the abberant was nearby, looking for another challenger. The people had been long gone, scared of what would happen if they stayed. Fortitude flew down to the villain, landing with a resounding thud. "Hey you! Seeing as you put an abberant in the hospital, I'm only gonna tell you this once. Surrender." Terror rolled his eyes. "Or what? You can't defeat me. I've gotten stronger since we last met." Fortitude raised an eyebrow. "When exactly did we 'meet'?" The abberant threw back his hoodie allowing his messy brown hair and his face to be seen. Fortitude's eyes widened. "Damien?"
The boy took the opportunity to grab him with one of his massive shadow hands, violently flinging him into the air(yeet!). Fortitude steadied himself in the air, blasting back to Damien. Fortitude drew his hand back to punch Damien, only to be surprised when he disappeared. Fortitude floated upwards, looking around wildly, trying to find him, when he suddenly felt a hit from behind. Hurtling towards the ground, Fortitude stopped himself mid air, seconds before he reached the ground. Sure, he couldn't get hurt but the last thing he needed was to create another crater in the road. He straightened himself on the road, looking for Damien. Obviously he was doing some sort of teleportation trick, so he could be anywhere. Closing his eyes, he focused, listening out for Damien's movement. Hearing a slight crunch of gravel Fortitude quickly spun around, just in time to dodge Damien's attack. As the boy fell, Fortitude grabbed his hands, pinning them behind his back. Damien yelled in pain, feeling his hands gripped tightly by Fortitude's iron like grip. Grabbing a peice of metal, Fortitude fashioned out some handcuffs and quickly slipped it on him. Suddenly, the boy let out a guttural roar, almost like a wild animal would. Thick dark shadow-like hide enveloped him, forming an organic suit-like structure around him. Damien smirked, his eyes holding a crazed look.
Fortitude drew back instantly, pondering his next move. The boy teleported, once again, this time into a mist of thick darkness. Fortitude spun around, looking for the devious boy. Suddenly, out of nowhere, he got blindsided by a huge black shadow hand, causing him to go careening into the air flying through a couple buildings. Fortitude started flailing his arms as he plummeted to the ground, creating a large crater. Terror took the opportunity to leap into the crater jumping on the vigilante. Fortitude closed his eyes as a dull light shone through his eyelids. He grunted, feeling the impact. Terror laughed. "I told you, you can't beat me. I'm just too strong!" Punching Fortitude in the face, the mad abberant laughed as he watched his goggles break. Fortitude still had his eyes closed, his hands over his illuminated eyelids, grunting after each blow that fell. Terror laughed. "What, suddenly shy? Maybe I'll find your family and friends. Maybe then you'd fight." Fortitude roared in anger, removing his hands and opening his eyes, his laser beams almost taking Damien's head off. Quickly gaining control of his lasers, he punched Terror straight into the air, flying after him. Grabbing him by the neck he yelled: "No one threatens my friends and family! No one!" Flinging him back down onto the ground, Fortitude dropped beside him, the ground cracking. The boy on the ground was exhausted and beaten. The fight was over. Fortitude's clothes were torn in the chest area, as well as several other places. His face had a few bruises and slight blood trails. Fortitude flicked the boy in the head, knocking him out. Binding him with another pole, Fortitude took a look around. The place was trashed. The buildings were all a wreck and the road had several craters. The mayor was going to have his head for this.
Shift sighed, using her telekinesis to search for the elderly lady's cat. She could see that Robbie didn't think she was ready to face villains and actually fight crime. At least fighting a fire would be cooler than this! "Hey kitty kitty. Where are you Snowbell?" The only reason that she hadn't found him already was because her mind-reading didn't work on animals. (So basically she can't check their PSI or nothing.) Looking up in the air, she saw Robbie floating down gently. His clothes was damaged and he had a slight cut. Jessica rose her eyebrows. "I thought you were invunurable." Robbie slightly nodded. "So did I." "Can you give me a hand?" Jessica asked. Robbie smirked. "I see you still haven't found the cat." Jessica turned around, facing Robbie. "So you did know? You are soo dead!" Running after a chortling Robbie, Jessica saw Snowbell watching them from the top of the roof. "Wait! The cat is up on the roof!" Robbie stopped running watching Jessica as she flew up to get the cat. She was going to make a great hero.
The cat purred as Shift returned her to the old woman. The old woman kissed the cat on it's head, thanking Shift for finding her beloved cat. "No problem ma'am. I was happy to help." Shift looked up at a floating Fortitude, who gave her a raised eyebrow. Shift smiled waving goodbye to the old lady and her cat, flying away with Robbie. The pair flew high up, going as near to the clouds as possible. Robbie's watch rang, indicating that it was lunchtime at their school. This means that they had an extra hour before going back to school. Robbie suddenly flew down with Jessica in tow. "Where are we going?" Jessica asked. "I was thinking that some food would be good right about now. I'm getting kind of hungry." Jessica nodded, her belly rumbling. "That's actually not a bad idea." The pair flew down, landing gently in front of McDonalds. Fortitude pushed the door keeping it open for Shift. As the two abberants entered the fast food restaurants, the conversation stopped, dropping to hushed whispers. All eyes were on the pair as Fortitude and Shift waved decided on what to eat. Going up to the counter, he placed his order. The cashier, a short young man, with lots of acne just stared at him, dumbstruck. Fortitude looked at the boy(his name tag said his name was Eugene), wondering if he had heard him. The manager, a broad jolly woman, gently pushed Eugene into the kitchen. "May I take your order?" She asked.
Hey guys! How did you like this chapter? I hope it's great. Just to clarify, Damien aka Terror has grown way stronger since the time the buff dude beat him up. Superion and the rest of Global Justice are all over the planet saving ppl so it's down Fortitude and Shift. The rest of the team will join soon. Here's some pizza 🍕. Peace out✌️!
