Jessica walked around the nervous Herbie, watching him intently. "So Herbie. Are you going to admit it? "I-I don't know what you are talking about." Herbie stuttered. Jessica smirked. "Stop lying Herbie. I have proof." Herbie's eyes became as wide as saucers. Just then Ferbie came back in. Looking at the situation, he said: "I leave for one minute, one minute and you get yourself in trouble. What did you do this time?"
Jessica facepalmed. She hadn't planned to interrogate Ferbie as yet. Ferbie had a stronger backbone and he was more clever than Herbie. "Ferbie. Sit here." She said, letting him sit beside Herbie. Is it true that your brother is Fortitude? Ferbie looked at Herbie. "Herbie? Fortitude?" Ferbie laughed and laughed. "Impossible. Herbie can't even lift his bag up without complaining." Jessica frowned. Ferbie was playing it smart. If he had said Robbie, she would have asked how did he know which brother. But, he answered correctly. Jessica narrowed her eyes. She was going to have to play hard ball. "Not Herbie. Robbie." Ferbie raised an eyebrow. Robbie? Sure, he's strong, but that's just about it. Nothing superhuman." Jessica nodded. "Then, how do you explain his frequent bathroom issue?" She questioned. "Bladder issues." Ferbie stated, nonchalantly. Jessica twirled around, opening her bag. Putting the book on the desk, she flicked it over to Ferbie. Herbie opened at the book, flipping to the first page. Herbie shifted it over to Ferbie showing him the girl's drawings of Robbie dashing past the window in a blur. The twins didn't need to see the face to know that it was Robbie. Ferbie looked a bit angry, but he quickly regained his composure. "So? That does not prove anything. You could've just drawn something. And even if you did see that blur, how do you know that it's Robbie? It could have been anyone. It could've been a random abberant speeding through the school. Or it could have been another kid in this school. Like... Johnny. Or Jasper. Or maybe even Jimmy. Maybe that's why he knows everything about everyone." Ferbie said, raising an eyebrow. Jessica's eyes eyes widened. Ferbie was being just as stubborn as Robbie. Seems like it's a family trait. Jessica flipped to another page, looking smug. "How about that?!"she asked. Ferbie and Herbie hunched over the book, looking at the picture. The picture depicted Robbie sucking Mr Crick's breath instead of blowing it in. "That one was definitely made up." Jessica flipped to the next page, irritated. "Look! How about that one?" she said, showing them a picture of Robbie with ash on his cheek. "Ferbie stood up. "Look, if you don't believe us, why don't you ask Robbie himself ?" Jessica snatched the book off the desk, smiling. "Fine. Maybe I will."she said, leaving the room. Ferbie and Herbie sighed.
Jessica was not about to give up. She had to know if Robbie was an aberrant. She walked off, looking for Jasper. When she arrived at the classroom, he was gone, and so was Robbie. Think Jessica, think. Where would Robbie go? An idea popped into her persistent head. Jessica sped down the hallway at full speed. She knew where he was. It had to be in the bathroom. Speeding down the hallway, she ran into Jennifer and her crew, who was pissed about Jessica's refusal to join the cheerleading squad. Jessica sighed. "Aw c'mon."
Robbie went on to the street putting his folded space suit in his pocket. Crouching on the road, he jumped off into the air thinking about all the things that made him happy. He saw his mother, his brothers, his new friend Superion and even Starlad. He thought about the girl he saved and how being a hero made him feel. Robbie opened his eyes and he was flying. He had removed his mental block! He was flying! Fortitude cheered, as he tumbled through the air, trying to steady himself. He stretched out his hands, doing the classic Superman pose, which only made him go faster, hurtling through the sky. Robbie yelped at the sudden change of speed, slowly put his hand beside him, then brought his foot down, causing him to come careening out of the sky He breathed a sigh of relief. Let's try this again. Crouching as if he were going to jump, Robbie blasted off into the air, keeping one arm at his side while stretching the other in front of him.
(Like so)
Robbie's momentum made him tumble forward in sky. And the jacket didn't even make it any easier for him to navigate through the air. Robbie held out his hands slowly steadying himself. He looked down at the ongoing traffic, the buildings, and even the people. Everything was so tiny. With his super sight, he could see it normally. Robbie dodged an incoming bird, which reminded him to pay attention. Putting his hands in front of him, he zoomed through the sky, leaving a light black trail in his path. "Whoooooooo!!! Yeah baby!" He shouted happily. Kicking off through the air, he willed himself to go faster. He zoomed through the sky, creating a sonic boom. Suddenly his flight stopped, sending him hurtling through the air. Careening towards the ground, he realized that he was about to crash into a building. Quickly spinning around, he blasted back off into the opposite direction. Robbie tried to go closer to the ground which didn't work so good. Since he was so close to the ground, he hit the ground headfirst, flying into a lake. Robbie came out of the lake gagging. Taking of his goggles and his mask, he spit out the water from his lungs, coughing his head off. Checking his watch, he realized that it was broken. He would have to run the rest of the way as there was no time to continue experimenting with his newfound flight abilities. Grabbing his mask the boy shot off along the road.Jessica was not on the mood for these girls today. "Look, Jennifer I got to go." Jennifer twirled the lollipop in her mouth. "Well well well. If it isn't little miss Jessica." She said snorting. Jessica rolled her eyes. "And I see you're still hanging out with your generic clones, Jennifer." Jessica retorted. Sally and Brittany, the other two cheerleaders scoffed at Jessica's retort. Jessica tried to walk past them, but Jessica was giving her a hard time. Jessica narrowed her eyes. She didn't have time for this. She had to get away. Jessica ducked under Sprinting down the hallway Jessica hoped that she could lose Jennifer, who prided herself on being the captain of the cheerleading team, and she was hella fast. But so was she. Jessica turned a corner and hid in an empty janitorial closet, closing the door. Jennifer and her crew ran right past the closet, looking for Jessica. When she had gone, Jessica hurried out of the closet and sprinted to the bathroom. Pushing the door open, she didn't see anyone. She was too late. Damn you Jennifer! Turning to leave she heard a plop, as something hit the floor. It was a bag. Turning around, she saw a gloved hand grip the window. Jessica's eyes widened. He was hella strong. Robbie pulled himself up through the window, coming face to face with Jessica. He was caught.
