Brian ran a hand through his blond hair. He couldn't believe that fate would be so cruel as to do this to him. As Brian hurried into the elevator of Bryson Corp, (Nighthawk is Ben/Benny or Benton Bryson, owner of Bryson Corp)he could only think about one thing. Robbie Malcom. The son of Herman Malcom, the man that he killed. He didn't mean to do it, but ultimately, he was the cause of the man's death. He could remember it clearly....

Flashback

Fifteen year old Brian hovered above his bed at 11:30 pm, grinning. He was finally going to be sixteen years old. He spun around in the air thinking about that car his father promised him. He smirked. Floating over to his phone, he turned it on and texted Nighthawk. Hey Ben, you up? Brian asked. Ben sent back a raised eyebrow emoji. Of course. Your always awake. Which side are you? I'll meet you. His phone pinged, showing him Ben's location. Dress casually. Ben texted back. Brian drew on a black shirt and a red jacket. He pulled on some jeans and opened his room window. It was waaay past his curfew, but that wasn't going to stop him. Brian grabbed a cap floating away from his room. Putting on the cap backwards, Brian flew across the city smiling. (Btw this is just a flashback, it is 2015 in Robbie's day. It's 2010 in the flashback) Landing on a dock near the fair, Brian started looking for Ben, who was hard to spot among the large crowd. Brian, who was less stealthy was a lot easier to find. As Brian looked around, Ben placed a hand on his shoulder suddenly, causing Brian to whirl around ready to defend himself. Ben gave a lopsided grin embracing his friend in a bro hug. Brian grinned. "Always the sneaky one, hmm?" Ben smirked. "If it were up to you, I would wear a smile into every mission." Brian laughed. The boys walked around enjoying sweets and drinks, while talking. After talking for a while Brian asked curiously: "What exactly are we looking for Ben?" The black haired boy was about to answer when he suddenly brought a finger to his lips shushing Brian pointing to something under a table. It was a bullet with a silver E marked on it. Quickly x-raying the table, Brian realized that he couldn't see underneath it. Was it...Organium!(NB: Organium is a wearable liquid metal, like a suit, but it is organic. Hence it's name. When I say organic, I mean that it changes it's shape depending on what the person using it wants to be. It has very, very little energy emission and invisibility properties) Brian thought, his blue eyes widening as he took a step backwards. Ben realized Brian's frightened expression and quickly hauled brought his foot down on the table smashing it. The people underneath were quick, as they rolled out, firing electric bullets. Ben dodged a couple bullets, before backflipping over an oncoming enemy. People started running as Brian grabbed another oncoming enemy, throwing him into a wall. The men started pouring out everywhere, killing people and fighting the two heroes. Brian sped around, fighting the men as he went. One man came out of nowhere wielding an extremely sharp katana at Ben, who only had a metal pole. Brian started flying over, when he was grabbed by the feet by a 8 foot giant. Brian tried spinning around but the giant beast of a man hit him into the ground. The beast started ragdolling him, and occasionally using him to hit people away. The clock struck 12. His big day wasn't supposed to be like this. He flew out of the giant's way, grabbing the katana guy, who had just kicked Ben into a wall, knocking him out. This was definitely his (real) father's doing. Brian's eyes lit up. Picking up Ben, Brian flew up and started using his lasers to cut through the wave of enemy forces that were there. Most of the people who were at the fair all either escaped or died, so there were no witnesses to see the horror. Widening his eyes, he made sure that he got every last one. The giant one that had tried to kill him earlier came back at him again from behind, but he quickly spun around, cutting him in half.

After he was done, he flew off, placing Ben down on a roof a mile away from the scene. He tried listened to Ben's heart rate if Ben was breathing but his super hearing hadn't kicked in as yet. Grabbing Ben, he blasted off into the air, flying to his (adoptive)parent's house. They were gonna ground him for sure, but that didn't matter. His friend's life was at risk. His mother was an army medic, and his older sister was in training to be a nurse. Brian flew in, with his jeans tattered and he was missing his hat. Only his jacket (which was made partially from Nixicium and cotton) was fine. Opening his window, he flew inside, zipping down the stairs with his friend in hand. His father and mother was in the kitchen eating breakfast while discussing which college his sister would go to. They spun around, looking at Brian as he held his friend in his arms, panicking. "What happened Brian?" His father asked, while his mother tended to Ben. Brian sighed, sitting down to explain the whole story.

3 Months Later

Ben was back in peak condition, and with Brian finally ungrounded, it looked like things were finally coming back to normal. The military general swore to keep Solarlad's secret under wraps. He had soldiers clean up all the evidence of the murders, and then wiped their minds to make them forget it. Brian's conciensce continually bit him, causing him to distance himself from his teammates, even from Nighthawk/Ben/Benny, his best friend. Brian met his friends in the lunch room. "Hey guys!" His teammates rolled their eyes, continuing their lunch. Ben clenched his jaw and turned back to his lunch. Ben had really changed. He grew his hair longer, slicked it down and he rarely smiled anymore. Aside from that, he became increasingly aggressive. Brian pulled up a chair and sat beside him. "Hey Benny-" Ben grabbed his chair and flipped it to one side, causing Brian to fall on his back. Brian was stunned. Ben wasn't usually this violent. Ben leaned down closely to Brian's face, whispering. Don't you ever, EVER, call me Benny. No matter how fast you are, no matter how strong you are, I will always find a way to put you on ass." Getting up, Ben walked away, leaving Brian on the floor.
