After school, Robbie dug into his closet, trying to find a jacket to wear. Pulling out his last leather jacket, he frowned. It was pretty banged up. Robbie sighed. As if his week wasn't bad enough already, having to pretend he didn't want to clobber the life out of Jason. Now he had to buy a new leather jacket. Taking a deep breath, he took a 20-dollar bill from his savings pan. Now wasn't the time to be gloomy. It was his favorite time of the year, the time when the Fair came to town. He wanted to try the darts again this year. Each year he tried to hit the center, but he kept missing. Hopefully with his awakened abilities, he could at least make one dart hit this year. But first things first. He had to swing by the mall to get a new jacket. Turning around, he looked at the shoes rack, taking a look at his sneakers. They were ok, but he needed at least one more pair. Just then, his watch, which sported a cracked visor beeped loudly, as if reminding Robbie not to forget it. Robbie sighed. Reopening his saving pan, he took out 20 dollars more. He was going to have to put in extra time at the diner for this. After putting on a plaid blue and black shirt over his white T-shirt, Robbie laced up his kicks and left the room. Walking down the stairs, he saw Herbie and Ferbie in the couch, each counting small stacks of money. Robbie smirked, rolling his eyes. "Lemme guess. Your app sold?" Herbie and Ferbie nodded, as each hand grand ideas on what to blow the money on. Robbie patted them both on the head. "Good job. Don't forget to leave some for mom. If we keep this up, by next month, we should be able to move into an actual house. It may not be like the one that we had when dad was alive, but it's better than here." The twins' eyes gleamed with joy at the prospect of leaving the apartment. "Oh. And don't spend it all. You may want some later for the fair. I'll be back by 4. Don't burn the place down." Robbie said, before leaving the house. Going down the apartment stairs, he dodged Meowms' angry bites and scratches, before skipping the whole flight of stairs and jumping down. He was in a better mood today, now that Jason wasn't exactly bothering him at the moment, and it showed.

Having finally reached the bottom steps, Robbie hopped on his bicycle, pedaling off to the mall. The Thursday afternoon was just perfect. The sun wasn't even that hot. Robbie finally arrived at the mall, parking his bicycle and locking it up. Walking into a Target store, Robbie immediately started searching for a leather jacket. After a while, he spotted the perfect leather jacket on one of the racks. Quickly grabbing it, he was surprised when someone else also grabbed it. Turning around, he saw a tall, lightly muscular young man, with dark blonde hair, a red beanie and a frown. "Yeah, I kinda saw that jacket first buddy." The boy said. Robbie held on to the jacket a bit tighter. "Naw man. I legit put my hands on the jacket first." Robbie responded. The boy got enraged, pushing Robbie down, and picking up the jacket, before making a mad dash to get away from him. Robbie grumbled underneath his breath, running after him, easily catching up with him. Tackling him, he tried to grab the jacket back from him. As he finally pinned the boy down, he heard a shout from a feminine voice. "Hey! Get off my son!" Said the voice. Looking up, he saw a dark-haired lady angrily approaching him. "Ma'am, I-" he began, only to get cut off. "You troublemaker! Why are you troubling my son Dennis?!" Robbie got up, letting the boy, who's name apparently was Dennis, get off the ground. "Ma'am, I wasn't troubling your son, he tried to take this jacket, which I took up first, from me." He said, holding the jacket in his hand. Dennis' eyebrows furrowed angrily. Pointing a finger at Robbie accusingly he shouted at him. "How dare you, you lying wretch!" The two boys clenched their fists and glaring menacingly at each other, seemingly about to throw hands. Dennis' mother grabbed her son by the ear arguing that he shouldn't be fight. Just then, Dennis' younger sister rounded the corner "What has he done this time mo- Robbie?" Robbie turned around, recognizing the voice of a girl that went to his school. It was Denise. She pushed her brown curls to the side of her small, lightly freckled face, smiling. Robbie smiled back, wondering how in all the years of his school, he had never realized how beautiful she looked. Seeing Robbie staring at her, she blushed and looked away momentarily.

After the whole situation was explained, Dennis's mother was apologizing for her son's actions, dragging the 15 year old boy to the car to put him in a temporary timeout, giving both Denise and Robbie an opportunity to talk. "Sorry about my brother, he's just really into those kind of jackets." Robbie smiled at Denise, watching as she twirled her curly hair around her fingers, visibly enamoured by the young man. Robbie, (who obviously didn't not realize that the girl was attracted to him) rubbed the back of his neck, smiling. Just as he was about to say another word, Denise grabbed a hold of his hand, and took a pen and nervously scribbled her number in his hand, with a 'call me' written beside it. "T-this is so you can c-call me later, ok?" She said, trying to seem nonchalant. Robbie, nodded, for the first time ever, feeling something other than mere attraction.

Robbie stepped out of the mall heading over to his bike, when he saw a young man walk out with nice wavey hair, complete with a good line-up. Robbie's hand went to his own hair. He had kind of let it grow for a while now. Changing directions, he went to a nearby barbershop, going for a new haircut.
