Robbie sat back in his chair waiting for lunch time to arrive. His teacher was absent, which meant that he had at least two hours and thirty minutes. Robbie grabbed and hurried out of the class, drawing the attention of Jasper. He snuck after Robbie, only to lose him after he disappeared down a split hallway. Jasper hurried down one of the hallways, only to end up not finding Robbie. Running down to the other end, all he saw was the bathroom. Pushing the door, he saw no one inside. Jasper closed the door scratching his head. If he hadn't go to either of the two hallways, where did he go?
Robbie was currently zipping through the streets of Emmersville city. Looking at his belt, he tried to figure out how it worked. Robbie jumped onto a building top, took off the belt, sat on the edge, and started trying to analyzing it. Pressing the button on the bottom again he checked it's power source. It was basically a round flat object. Putting it back in, Robbie tried using finger prints, but that didn't work. Robbie pouted, reattached his belt and hopped off the edge of the building, landing on the ground in a crouch.
Sprinting off, Robbie whistled, signalling Superion. Stopping at the coffee shop, Robbie looked up seeing a blur of yellow flying through the sky, floating down on to the ground. "Hey Fortitude. I see you still haven't figured out how to use the belt.
"he said, grinning. Fortitude smirked. "I'll figure it out, just you wait." Superion chuckled. "That's ok. It took Starlad a whole month to figure it out. Fortitude raised an eyebrow. A whole month?" Ayo is this thing that difficult? Fortitude thought. Superion laughed, seeing his bewildered face. "It's not that hard, I promise. Anyways, what did you need?" Fortitude smirked. "I wanna learn how to fly."Fortitude looked up at Superion, who was floating above him. "Try floating. Just try to feel it, like an extra muscle." He said. Fortitude hopped into the air, before getting pulled back down by gravity. Superion raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure you can fly?" Fortitude nodded. "I have woken up floating before. I always fall back down before I can try it out." Superion nodded. "What is it that you usually dream about, when you float, if you don't mind me asking?" Robbie thought back to the last time he woke up floating. He was dreaming about the girl he saved "I-I sort of rather not say." Fortitude said looking away, embarrassed. Superion smirked raising his eyebrows and began teasing him. "Was it about a girl? Hmm Darius?" Robbie's face went so brightly red, that you could almost put a tomato beside it and not tell the difference. All right then, try to think about that and maybe it'll work. Fortitude raised an eyebrow. "Its kinda weird to do that with you right there." He said. Superion wiggled his eyebrows. "So it was a girl!" Fortitude shot him a look. Superion raised his hands in retreat. Okey. I'm leaving. I'm leaving. He said, floating away.
Robbie shook his head, closed his eyes and began visualizing the girl. They were lying on the roof of a big building, stargazing. Robbie's feet slowly left the ground, causing him to float in the air slowly. Superion applauded him and cheered him on, but he couldn't hear him. All he could hear was her laughter as they lay on the roof talking. All of a sudden, he saw his father's casket, going into the ground. Robbie fell out of the air, his eyes snapping open. Superion quickly flew into action, grabbing Fortitude by the arms. Fortitude breathed heavily. "You ok?" Superion asked. The teenaged superhero nodded. "You were actually levitating, and then you just fell. What happened?" Superion asked. The boy paused for a moment. "I'll tell you, but not here. At the moon base." Superion nodded. "Ok then. Let's go."
The two heroes entered a diner in the moon base, ordering a drink and some food from a tall red robot. Sitting at a table, Kurt and Fortitude ate their food. Fortitude sighed. I keep seeing....my dad. Superion tilted his head. "What do you mean?" Fortitude put his hands on his head. "My father was a part of the military, a tech analyst. He.....he died of a heart attack while at work." Kurt stiffened. "What was his name?" Fortitude stiffened up. "I can't tell you his name, I have a family to protect." Kurt eased back in his chair. Maybe it was a different person. There was no way that it could be the same person he was thinking of. Still, he had to find out. "You know that you can trust me, right?" Kurt asked, leaning forward.
Fortitude thought back to how Kurt had been helping him recently. Maybe he could finally let go and start over. He could make friends again. He was in control, unlike last time with Shawn. "His name was Herman Malcom. Kurt choked on his drinks. Robbie looked over at him. "You ok man? You look a bit frightened." Kurt's mouth closed instantly. "Uh, yeah, yeah." Robbie dismissed it, continuing his revelation. I guess there's no need for me to hide my identity from you then. Robbie took off his goggles and pulled off his mask, with Kurt watching on, crestfallen. My real name is Robert Malcom. Sorry I didn't tell you before, it's just that I didn't trust you." Realizing how it sounded, Robbie quickly tried to fix it . "Wait no, that was not what I mea-" Kurt halfheartedly chuckled. "Nah. That's ok." Robbie checked his watch. He only had 20 minutes left until lunch was done. Robbie slipped his mask on back over his face. "Anyways, I gotta go, y'know, to school." Kurt nodded his head. "Yeah, no problem. See you out there I guess. Let me know when you figure out how to use the belt!" He added smirking.
