Jessica floated out of the bathroom, and into the sky. The suit had made her hair return to it's natural red colour, her skin was tinged with blue, while her eyes turned to a light sea green. Shift was finally ready fight crime after 13 years of waiting. All she needed to do was to convince Robbie to help her start a team, just like in the movies. Shift frowned. The only problem was finding him. She could only identify. She was a Telēkâhn, and thus lacked the ability of super hearing, among others. Her speciality was telekinesis, any type that you could think off. She hadn't mastered all of her powers, but her 13 years of training didn't at all go to waste. Jessica held out her hand, taking the blueish-red ring off her finger, trying to reach out for Robbie's mental signature. It was not as easy as it sounded; she had to sort through over 500 citizens mental signature, their thoughts all overlapping in her brain. Jessica sighed. Her search range wasn't as strong as her parents' as yet. Jessica sighed. She couldn't find Robbie. She should have made a mind link with him before he left. Shift flew away from the school, trying to find Robbie's mental signature as she went along.
To a regular person, Robbie would look like an ordinary teenager. But Jessica had seen his PSI(mental signature) and just knew that he was different. She had been following him for the last two months, watching him leaving class and speed off to fight crime. She knew that it would look suspicious for her to just accuse him of something that she had no proof of. So she spent the last few weeks gathering evidence to back her claims. Now he finally confessed the truth. It was only a matter of time before she could get Jasper to confess as well. Jasper hadn't told her about his powers as yet, but she figured it was only a matter of time. Flying over the city of Emmersville, Jessica searched for Robbie's PSI, blocking out all the others (it's pronounced siiii btw). Stopping over a house, she felt Robbie's PSI emitting from it. Floating down to the house's front yard, she walked over to the door, knocking. She could hear the boy's cautious footsteps approaching the door, shushing someone inside. The door slowly opened revealing Fortitude.
Fortitude sat on a bench waiting for the doctor to deliver the child. They had taken the woman upstairs, allowing her more comfort. The doctor was nervous, and Fortitude could hear his heartbeat pounding. All of a sudden, he heard a knock on the door. His head instantly snapped to the door. The doctor started babbling. "W-who is it?" He asked. Fortitude quickly shushed him, cautiously hurrying down the stairs and sneaking over to the door. He could use his x-ray vision, but he had to be constantly concentrating, otherwise he could accidentally trigger his heat vision, killing whoever was outside. Fortitude slowly opened the door, seeing a female abberant, in a bright yellow white and red suit, smiling expectantly at him. The first thought that ran through his mind was that she was an enemy. Fortitude stood in a fighting stance ready to battle the threat. The girl simply raised an eyebrow. "I'm not a threat. Fortitude was confused. "Then...why are you here?" He asked, straightening up. The girl took him by the hand, trying to pull him outside. To her surprise, she couldn't get him to budge an inch. "Jeez Robbie, loosen up!" Robbie's eyes widened. "Wait, how do you know my name? Who are you?" Taking off her mask, the girl smirked. "Still don't recognize me?" She asked. Robbie shook his head. The girl waved a hand over her face, causing her to assume her human form, Jessica Robertson. Before he could exclaim his surprise, he heard a shrill cry, like that of a baby. Jessica raised an eyebrow at him. Fortitude hurried back into the house, telling Jessica to wait for him. Hurrying up the stairs, Fortitude saw the doctor with the baby in his hands, swaddling it with a sheet. He was sweating like crazy but he had done it. Handing the baby to the overjoyed mother, the once novice medical student, had now gained some experience. Fortitude turned slightly towards the door, hearing the sirens of the ambulance approaching. The lady who was once again thinking rationally, had video called her husband, who was crying tears of joy, thanking the doctor for delivering his newborn daughter. "Well, I couldn't have done it without Fortitude." The doctor stated, pointing to where Fortitude stood. To his utter surprise, he wasn't there.
Robbie hovered in the air, watching the mother nurse her newborn daughter. He wondered if maybe he should've stayed, and taken his share of credit for the deed. He knew that the media would've made a huge fuss out of it, making him a world known hero, famous and loved by the world. Just then, Jessica floated over to him slowly, looking in at the newborn. She assessed the situation and began cooing: "Aww! Wobbie dewivered a baby!" Robbie covered his face in embarassment. "We won't speak about this ever again." He said, grimacing. Jessica laughed heartily, spinning around in the air. Robbie's ears perked up, hearing other cries for help. "Hey, Jessica, we're gonna have to split up. Pick a crime scene and you can go to that one. Jessica raised an eyebrow. "You do know that I don't have super hearing, right? Robbie wheeled around, looking at Jessica. "Oh. I didn't know. I figured that's how you had found me." Jessica shook her head. Well...you go to St Elmer's street, and I'll go to Bluebird street, and when we are done, we can meet back here." He said, giving her a smile. Jessica nodded. Robbie gave her a thumbs up, blasting off to Bluebird street.
Fortitude flew over the destroyed roads, looking for the source of the cry. As far as he saw, everyone had run away, safe from whatever it was that had done this much damage. After landing, Fortitude finally saw the amount of damage caused. Entire stores had collapsed, mini craters everywhere. From what he could tell, this abberant was really powerful. Fortitude heard a small whistle, spinning around, only to see a person hurtling towards him. Robbie quickly flew up, catching the abberant, who was bloodied and beaten beyond recognition. This poor person was going to need years of surgery to make him begin to look ok again. Robbie had to get him to safety. Robbie flew off with the abberant, taking him to a hospital. He had slowed his speed so as to avoid the person getting hurt any further. Slowly, he landed on the sidewalk of the hospital. Opening the door, Robbie called the attention of a couple medics, leaving him in their capable hands. Robbie set his face towards the door, grimacing. He needed to stop whatever it was that had done this, and he needed to stop him now.
