Jasper was in his room watching television. It was his favorite cartoon, Justin Time. It was a show about a man that had various time traveling adventures, hopping from one time to next, always using the corny catchphrase: It looks like I'm Justin. Justin'Time that is! It was corny, but it was Jasper's childhood favourite. Pausing the episode, Jasper wriggled off the bed, going down the stairs to get some snacks. His dad would be back soon, and his mom was at a spending some time with his sick aunt, so he had the whole house to himself! Jasper smirked. Opening the fridge, he shielded his eyes from the light. Did the light get brighter? Jasper yawned, suddenly feeling tired. He blinked, firmly gripping on to the fridge door. His body felt tingly and his head was going crazy. What's happening to me? Jasper stumbled across the room trying to get a phone and call for help. He fell to his knees grasping at the table trying to pick up the phone. His vision blurred causing him to not see the numbers. He gasped for air as the phone fell from his grasp, on to the floor. Soon after, he fell on to the floor beside it. Everything went black.

Jasper woke up, feeling his body again. He picked himself up off the ground, looking around in a bewildered haze. Jasper quickly snapped out of it and began picking up the things that had fallen. Trying to close the fridge, Jasper realized that his hands went through the door. Backing away from the fridge, he stared at his hands, watching them rapidly vibrate. He heard a car pull up. His father was home. Instantly, Jasper hurried up the stairs to his room. His dad couldn't see him like this. Looking back at his hands, he saw that they had stopped vibrating. He breathed a sigh of relief. He definitely had to find out what happened. Jasper started to walk forward, only to find himself across his room, crashing into some shelves. The shelves toppled over on the boy."Jasper? You okay up there?" His dad asked from downstairs. Jasper groaned in pain. "Yeah...I'm okay." He wheezed out. Pushing the shelf off of his chest, he got up, putting the shelf back in its place. He slowly picked up the books, tucking them back on to the shelf. Jasper tousled his messy brown hair. He really needed to control this. How did this even happen to him? His foot itched him. He rolled up his pants' leg and saw a big red bump on his leg. Jasper tried to pop the bump, only for it to emit electricity and slightly shock him. He was stunned.(no pun intended). He needed help. But he couldn't think of anyone who would believe him, and even if they did, they probably wouldn't keep it a secret. Johnny was the only person he could trust. Jasper put on some jeans, a hoodie, and some black sneakers. He then walked down the stairs, looking for his dad. Not seeing him, he called: "Hey dad, I'm going over to Johnny's house. I'll be back before dinner." "Ok, just be back before 6!" His dad called back. Jasper grabbed his bike from the garage, carrying it out to the road. He hopped on, pedaling off towards his best friend's house.

Finally arriving in front of Johnny's house, Jasper knocked on the door, using the shiny brass knocker. He should've worn gloves. It was approaching winter time, and the knocker was cold. Jasper rubbed his hands together, waiting for someone to answer the door. Soon enough, the door creaked open, revealing Johnny's bigger sister, who was chewing bubble gum and texting on her phone. The girl rolled her eyes. "Go away Jasper." She said, blowing a bubble. "But-" The door closed, leaving Jasper in the cold. Jasper knocked on the door at the door again. This time, Johnny's mom came to the door. "Hi Jasper. Can I help you?" She asked. "Good afternoon Mrs Hayes. Is Johnny at home?" Mrs Hayes checked her watch. "No he is not home right now. He went out with his dad on a trip. He'll be back by tonight." "Thanks Mrs Hayes. Tell him I came by."he said, hopping on his bicycle. Checking the time, he saw that it was only 4:00. Jasper pedaled off towards to a big apartment building. Climbing up the fire escape, he felt the cold air blow past him. Finally arriving at the top, he sat on the building, he tried to enjoy the veiw, but the wind was too cold. Jasper grunted and climbed back down the fire escape. Hopping on his bicycle, he decided to just go home.

Jasper was inside his Johnny's room watching a movie. His parents weren't home, and he knew that he had to tell Johnny the truth. Especially since what happened in school. "Hey yo J. I got something to tell you." Jasper said. Johnny paused the movie, turning around. Jasper held up his hands, generating small bits of electricity. "I have powers." He said smiling. Johnny smiled. "How long ago did this happen?" He asked. Jasper scratched his head. "Around a week ago?" Johnny's face fell. "So, you waited that long to tell me? I bet you told Jessica!"he said, his face red. Jasper's smile fell. "Why would you think that? Don't you trust me?"he asked. Johnny pursed his lips. "Answer the question, Japser." Jasper was upset. "Dude. You've known me, for like, my whole life and yet you accuse me of lying? What kind of friend are you?"he argued. Johnny's eyes widened. What kind of friend are you? Who was it that broke Mr.Miller's window, ten years ago? You! And who took the blame? Me! Yet, as soon as the dumb girl JESSICA came along, you were head over heels!" Johnny shouted, enraged. Jasper screeched. "She isn't dumb! She knows a lot more than you, ya fat moron!"he shouted. Johnny looked hurt. "Get. Out."he said. "Johnny wait! I'm sor-" Jasper began. Johnny grabbed Jasper and threw him over the shoulder, like a bag. Johnny hurried down the stairs, with Jasper screaming. Johnny opened the door and threw Jasper outside, causing him to fall awkwardly on the ground.(Yeet!) Jasper brushed him self off. He had just lost his best friend.

Fiiiiiinallllyyyyy! I have been at this editing for a long time now. I scrapped it around 3 times. But, that is the price to pay for perfection.(dramatically sighs). Hope you like it! Cookie for all of you! 🍪
