Herman Malcom sat in his chair, going over the analysis of the accident at the fair that happened a last year (2010). Something was off. It didn't feel right. He could feel it in his bones. Munching on his favorite buttered sandwiches, he closed his eyes analyzing the situation. Putting himself in the scenario, he reveiwed what had happened. He couldn't find any clues so he decided that it was time for some field work. Grabbing his keys, he hurried out of the office, closing the door. Walking by crowds of busy soldiers and other agents, Herman made his way to the gate that led outside to the garage. Using his keycard, he verified his ID before finally walking into the par lot, hopping into his car and driving off to the original site of the accident.

After arriving, Herman immediately hopped out surveying the surrounding. It was around 4 pm, so the park was closed, and no one was around, except for a few guards. After not being able to find any clues, he sat on one of the benches, contemplating his next move. While sitting on the bench, and idea suddenly popped into his mind. Hurrying to the central control room, he quickly hurried up the stairs. For a man of his size, he was pretty agile. Finally reaching to the top, he used a hairpin, quickly picking the lock. Pushing open the door, he found exactly what he had come for: the park's security system. Quickly looking for last year's footage, Herman smirked. He was a bonafide genius. After closing the door behind him, he rubbed his hands together, warming them from the cold, scrolling through the computer's security database for a while, Herman finally found the video. Clicking play, he watched as a camera showed a video of Solaris landing in the crowd of festive people. Leaning back in his chair, he watched as the event went from festive to horrifying. Out of nowhere, people in black suits started fighting both Solaris and Nighthawk. Nighthawk tried his best to fight them off, but he was only human after all. He watched in horror as Solaris started killing them out of anger, cutting them in half with lasers and even occasionally punching holes through their chests. He paused the video, realizing that he had to hand this in to the general. He had a right to know what was happening. People were killed, and it could have been his family. Or someone else's family. He couldn't risk it. He just wanted to know why he killed them instead of just incapacitating them. "Why would he?" He wondered aloud. "Some secrets aren't meant to be found out." A soft masculine voice answered. Herman quickly spun around seeing Solaris. He knew that he was in danger. "Solaris." Solaris nodded. "Who told you about this?" Herman cleared his throat. "No one I found out on my own. H-how did you know I was here?" Solaris sighed sitting in the security chair, hands over his face. "Why couldn't you have just left it alone! You are a honest soldier, one of my favourite actually. You are just a bit too inquisitive for your own good. Herman's eyes darted to the thumb drive, before quickly darting back to Solaris. Solaris followed his eyes to the thumb drive, realizing that it was done uploading. Running a hand through his neat hair, Solaris cried out in grief. "Im sorry Mr Malcolm. I really am." Herman's eyes widened, realizing what was about to happen. "Wai-" But it was too late. Solaris quickly jumped out of the chair, blowing his freeze breath, encasing the poor man in rock hard ice. Dropping to his knees, Solaris cried tears of pain and regret. Tugging at his now messy hair, he took in a sharp breath. An idea slowly came to mind. "I-I can still fix this!" Grabbing the thumb drive, he tucked it into his belt's pouch. Picking up the frozen man, Solaris flew out through the window, into the air, gently carrying him into the air, far above the clouds, where the cold air wold keep the ice solid.

Slowing down, he flew in through the window. Speeding down stairs, he called for his parents. To his surprise, only his sister was there. "Oh, hey Bri-" Looking at the frozen body, Brian's sister screamed. "What the hell! What did you do?!" One look at Brian's face told the whole story. "Why? What could he possibly have done to you? Brian opened the pouch on his belt, throwing the thumb drive to her. Catching it, she walked into another room, playing the file on a private network. After she finished watching the video, she walked back into the main room. Looking at the frozen man before her, she sighed. Thawing him now makes no sense, since he would most likely go into shock. Keep him frozen until you can figure out a way to keep his vitals stable when he is thawed." Brian wiped his eyes. "Thank yo-"He began trying to hug his sister. To his surprise the person he considered his best friend, the person he live with since he was 7, his sister, pushed him away. "I'm done. You are on your own." Brian could not believe what he was hearing. "What? What do you mean? I thought we were in this together?" His sister scoffed. "No Brian. It's always the same thing. You are 17 now. You need to learn to take responsibility for your own actions. I don't want to be involved in anymore of your bloodbaths. Just-just leave me alone." Brian lowered his head. "I see. I'm sorry to have disturbed you. Tell Mom and Dad I stopped by." With that, Brian picked up the frozen figure and flew out of the house and into the air. As he flew away from the house, it was almost as if he could hear his sister's sadness, echoing from the house he once grew up in.
