Surrounded by her warmth all over him, Serkan couldn't help but smile at how sweet she looked while sleeping and press gentle kisses all over her forehead, causing her to slowly wake up.

"Morning"- she mumbled in her sleepy voice as she closed her eyes again.

"Morning baby."- Serkan smiled as he played with her hair. "Come on, let's get up and have breakfast."

"No, please. I want to stay in bed, my legs hurt"- Eda denied as the aftermath of last night finally settled in.

"I thought you were going to work today"- Serkan said, making her immediately jump, her eyes wide open.

"Serkan, why didn't you remind me earlier? What time is it? God, I have to get ready."- Eda distressed as she tried to get out of bed but before she could take a step, Serkan scooped her in his arms and headed towards the shower.

Even with Serkan not being able to keep his hands to himself, Eda managed to get ready in time. She missed her old job, after all, she'd worked her whole life for it. It is always hard for women to be successful in their job in a world unfortunately still dominated by men. But she pulled through, and she was proud of it.

They had breakfast and then Serkan drove her to the hospital. It felt so good for her to be back.

"Now, I've arranged a team for you. The black car parked behind us, there's Mehmet, Aslan, Omer and Burak. I know you think you don't need it because you're tough, but my consciousness won't be clear if I don't know that you're safe."- Serkan said as he parked the car in front of the hospital.

"We'll discuss it later."- Eda replied, rolling her eyes as she got out of the car and headed towards the entrance of the hospital.

She was welcomed by all her colleagues, especially Melo, whom she hadn't seen in months. It was a busy shift for the both of them, who spent almost all of it in the ER because there had been a massive car crash that had almost 15 people injured.

After what seemed like forever, it was her lunch break so she headed towards one of her friend's office.

"Hey Fifi, how are you?"- Eda smiled as she got in to meet her friend whom she hadn't seen in a long time.

"I'm fine, you know, the usual. You're the one with the news. Don't think I didn't notice that beautiful ring you had on your finger earlier today"- Fifi replied with a grin on her face.

"Nothing can ever manage to escape your eyes, can it?"- Eda let out a chuckle. "But yes, I am. It was so unexpected and don't have me get started on the events that led to this please."

"You fell in love."- Fifi smiled. "Does he know? I mean the dickhead of a cardiologist next door aka the piece of shit who cheated on you months ago?"

"I don't care whether he does or not, but he doesn't. Honestly, I don't give a shit, you know I never did anyway. Cenk was never even worth the time I gave him."- Eda let out a sigh.

"But there's something else that's been bothering me and I wonder if you have some time to check it out..."

"Of course, I have 30 minutes, tell me, what can I do for you?"

Her shift was finally over and she felt really tired. She'd forgotten how tiring her job really was and it was finally the time to head home. She locked the door of her office and headed towards the exit when she heard a voice call her name from behind.

"Eda..."

She turned back, her eyebrow raised at her trash bag of an ex that was heading home too.

"Hm?"

"I know we haven't exactly been on talking terms but I wanted to discuss some things with you"- Cenk said, slowly making two steps towards her.
