an ice cream wont hurt

Camila's POV

This marathon of shows has been amazing but incredibly tiring. I shouldn't have waited three years to do it again, I feel like I lost the shape.

- It's your lucky day - Mike, the guy who manages my schedules, told me when we arrived at the hotel.

- Why?

- You've got seven hours to sleep tonight

I felt so happy I wanted to scream!

- Thank God

I went to my room, took a shower, went to bed and then called Lauren. She picked up fast.

- Hi cariño

Everytime I hear her voice I realize how much I miss her with me.

- Hola mi amor

- Where you at today?

I looked at the window, the city lights going into my dark room. It's so cold to be alone in this hotel room.

- New Orleans still - I said - did four shows, twenty six to go

I took a deep breath. It's going to be a long journey.

- But you said this first month will be harder and then you'll have some days off, right?

- Yeah. And yeah I'm tired but I'm also really enjoying everything, you know? I mean, I can feel my fans love when they're singing with me, they loved the album and I'm so happy they did

- I told you they would

I was holding my phone with the same hand I have my ring and my RIO tattoo. I miss Lauren so much...

- Can I see you?

- Yep

We turned our cameras on and Lauren's beautiful face made my heart beat faster.

- That's not fair, you dont have the lights on - she said - I can barely see you

- I'm about to sleep

I could see she was in our apartment's kitchen.

- What time is it there? - I asked like I'm doing every night.

- eleven pm

- it's ten pm here

She was eating spaghetti.

- Something funny happened today

I tried to concentrate because I could sleep any second, honestly.

- Yeah? What?

She drank something, probably juice.

- I saw Lucy again and she talked to me

Suddenly I was completely awake again.

- What? Where?

- I was at my moms earlier. Was washing my car and she came to say hi

Okay, she just said hi. Nothing to worry about. No big deal. But I should ask...

- What else did she say?

- Well, you know, asked if I'm okay, if I'm living here in Miami...

Oh so she tried to have a conversation with Lauren. I wonder why the sudden interest...

- What's funny about that? - I asked.

- I don't know, it was kinda out of the blue

I wanted to ask a few more things, but I dont want Lauren to think I'm jealous. And it was no big deal, I dont think it meant anything to Lauren at all.

- Anyway, you should sleep - she said with her mom tone - so you can do another amazing show tomorrow

- There are camren posters on all of them - I said -, on every city, every show

- I know, I'm stalking your socials everyday

She's probably talking about the pics I've been tagged on.

- It's good. I'm always thinking about you, so...

Lauren looked at the phone and I could really feel she was staring at me.

- I love you, Camz

- I love you too

Lauren's POV

It's been fourteen days since Camila left. I'm still in Miami and I don't feel like I should go back to LA at all. Need to figure that out.

But also... Miami is kind of boring, honestly. I know I'm not eighteen anymore, but I'm still young, I should be out there going to clubs, dancing all night, drinking... having friends! All of my old friends are out of here.

- I could go out with you - I said to Taylor. She's going out tonight with some friends.

- No you can't

She looked at me like I'm super old.

- Come on, I was just telling you I need to get out of here

- Lauren you need to find some new friends

She just walked away. I looked at my mom, but I dont think she's by my side.

- What? She's right. Would you take me to go out with you?

- But you're my mom

- Yeah, and you're her older sister

Right when I was about to argument my point someone knocked at the door. I walked out of the kitchen, going to the door and opening it.

- Hi!

And then, completely out of the blue again, here's Lucy standing at my front door.

- Hi Lucy

Before she could say anything my mom came and went through me to hug her.

- Oh my god Lucy!!! How are you?

- I'm okay, thanks Clara

- I didn't know you were here!

She looked at me like she was surprised I didn't tell.

- Yeah, I just got here

- Alright, I'll let you two talk

She came back in and I closed the door behing me. It's not a surprise to me that my mom loves Lucy.

- I missed your mom

This whole situation is so weird. What is she doing here?

- Lucy, you need anything?

- Yeah, right, I just feel like it's so hot I could die so I'm going to buy some ice cream and wanted to ask if you wanna join me

I could really write a book about my like. My ex girlfriend coming back from the dead and asking if I want some ice cream, that's a good story.

- I don't know...

- We could go to that one close to the park, unless you have something better to do, of course

I thought about what I was going to do if I said no, and all I could think was doing nothing on my bedroom all day or going to the apartment to do nothing there.

- I guess an ice cream won't hurt
