camila, will you marry me?

Lauren's POV

I've been talking to Dinah almost everyday to set everything up. Camila has no clue, she just thinks I'm exercising a little bit more, since I always tell her I'm going for a walk so I can call Dinah.

Maybe I should've accepted Dinah's suggestion and just go back to the US so we could marry there, but we are living in the city of love, there's no better place to do it. Yeah, it's going to be crazy to bring everyone, but we'll make it.

- You look beautiful when you're out of orbit - Camila said, making me look at her.

- What? - I asked, sitting by her side on the bed.

- When you're thinking about something, sometimes you just get inside your head so deeply

- I'm sorry - I said.

- Don't be. I love to observe every movement of yours

Camila can't stop making me blush. She gave me a smile and, of course, I had to kiss her.

- Will you go out on a date with me tonight? - I asked, thinking I shouldn't wait one more second.

- A formal date?

- Yeah. A real one. A romantic one

Now I was the one smiling just to imagine how surprised she'll be when I propose.

- Of course I will!

Camila kissed me again.

- Alright, but I'm not telling you where we're going

I got up and walked to the bathroom while she was complaining. Tonight has to be perfect.

- Camz, come on, I made reservations - that was maybe the 4th time I called her.

I knocked the bedroom's door again.

- We are actually late already - I insisted.

- Just a sec

I went back to the living room. Checked if everything was okay with the rings inside my purse and just waited for five more minutes.

- Okay, please don't kill me

I heard Camila's voice and looked up. She is just... oh my god.

- What? - she asked.

- You are the most beautiful woman on earth. On the whole fucking universe, I swear

I went to kiss her but she stopped me.

- Just put my lipstick on. And thanks baby, but you are the most beautiful woman on earth

Camila was wearing a red dress. Her hair was tied up, showing her shoulders and neck. I was wearing a black dress.

- Let's go? - I asked and she confirmed.

I found the car's keys and we finally went out of the apartment.

- I'm just glad it's not freezing anymore

Camila and I were chatting while we waited for our dessert. I took her on this fancy and private restaurant with an incredible view.

- Yeah, it's nice to see you out of bed - I said, making her laugh.

- Just because you're almost an athlete, it doesn't mean you can joke about me alright

I was just so nervous I couldn't stop moving my legs and hands. I was checking on the rings every five minutes, but could never find the right moment to do it.

- What is it, my love? - she asked - You're very quiet tonight

I took a deep breath.

- You're just so beautiful - I said, honestly - and intelligent, and talented and you have the voice I love the most to hear

Camila was looking at me a little surprised, but smiling. I kept going:

- I love how you can write so beautifully about your feelings, how honest you are and how much love you put in everything you do. I love your eyes, your hair, I love your body

I emphasized the last words and she opened a big smile.

- I love how you're always making me laugh, I love when you ask me if we should have some whine, even if it's a random Wednesday. I love that you took me here

- You took me here - She interrupted.

- I'm not talking about this restaurant or Paris. I'm talking about how you... changed me. How you took me out of that little apartment I was isolating myself in and showed me how beautiful the world still is. Or how beautiful we can make it

- Lauren... - she tried to interrupt again.

I opened my purse on my lap, where Camila couldn't see, and opened the little box with the rings. I took a look at it to find courage to do this.

- You know I'll love you forever, don't you? - I asked.

- And I'll love you a million years more

Hearing this gave me the courage I needed. Slowly, I put the little blue box opened on the table.

Camila's expression changed completely. She was definitely shocked even before I said a word.

- Camila, will you marry me?

I could see the tears on her eyes when she gave me a big smile and finally said:

- YES LAUREN OF COURSE I WILL

Before I could even process these words, Camila and I were hugging and kissing and crying. Thankfully there's just a few people here at the restaurant.

- I love you so much - she said, holding my face with both her hands - I love you so much I can't explain with words

- I love you too, cariño

We sat back in our places and I picked up the rings. Then I put the ring on her finger carefully. She did the same with me.

- This is so beautiful and so... us - Camila said, looking at her hand.

- You liked it?

She looked back to me.

- Are you kidding me? Of course I did. Oh my God, Lauren, I can't believe you just proposed

- I can't believe it either. Can't believe you said yes
