Lauren's POV

It was day 5 in LA. Alexa was spending some time at my place and we were watching shitty reality shows on TV.

My cellphone vibrated and I took it, it was a text

- Who is it? - Alexa asked

- No one

- It's Camila then

She was right.

Camz: "hey, how are you?"

Me: "I'm fine. You?"

Camila and I were talking every day since I came here.

- You're doing that face again - my best friend got me out of my thoughts.

- What face?

- That "I have a big crush on this girl" face

- Oh my god here we go again...

We have talked about it a thousand times since I came here.

- You have to admit it, Laur. You always loved her

- You know I'm over her, you were with me this whole time - I tried to arguement.

- Yeah, you're right, and I know that fucking face you do when you have a crush alright? So don't try to lie to me you bitch

My phone vibrated again.

Camz: "I'm fine too. This week has been boring without you"

- Okay, Lexi. Yeah I may have a crush on her, so what? Nothing's changed.

She threw a pillow on my face.

- I knew you were lying! Just can you not fall in love with her again? Last time I had to work a lot to get you out of that shit

- I'll not fall in love with her, I swear to god

It was one a.m and Lexi left to her place. She lives two floors below mine, that's why I came here actually. When I moved she was here for a year already, working as a model. I had just changed my record label and the studio is in LA, so I had to come.

I lay in my bed, Cleo was sleeping and everything was silent. On the first year I loved it, to be alone. Now I hate.

A WhatsApp notification popped up on my phone's screen.

Camz: "can I call you?"

Wait, she wants to call me? What for?

Me: "yes"

Five seconds later "you're receiving a call from Camz". I touched the green bottom and accepted it.

- Hey...

Her voice was so sleepy, I bet she's on her bed too.

- Hey, Camz

- Sorry to call you this late... can't sleep

- It's alright, Lexi left ten minutes ago so I wasn't sleeping

She didn't answer and we stayed in silence for a while.

- How was your day? - she asked.

- It was nice. I chose the tracklist of my show

- It's 10 days from now, right?

- Yeah. Then I went downtown to meet Lexi, she was doing a photoshoot there or something. We went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner

- Oh my god I would kill for a sashimi now... Your day was better than mine, the only different thing I did today was taking my sister to the movies with this girl she's into

- Whaaaat? Sofia's into girls????

Suddenly I got very excited.

- Yeah, didn't I tell you? You had to see them together! Sofi can't stop looking at her

- Oh my god I can't believe it, she's just a kid!

- No, not anymore. I know, it's hard for me too.

- And they are going to the movies together... it reminds me of the hundreds of times I did it with Lucy when I was still on the closet

Camila went completely silent when I said that. After a few awkward minutes she finally said something.

- I think I'll go to sleep

- Okay, me too

- Good night, Lo. - I smiled when I heard the nickname.

- I'll talk to you tomorrow? - this time I asked because I had to be sure.

- Yes, as always...

- Okay. Good night, Camz

We stayed there for a while, I could listen to her breath... none of us wanted to turn it down.

- Camz? - I whispered after five minutes, but she didn't answer. She was sleeping. - sleep well...

I disconnected the call.

Camila's POV

Okay, I'm calling Shawn. I've waited long enough.

I took my phone and searched for his number, then called it.

- Hi Camila

- Hi Shawn, how are you?

- What do you want?

Okay, so he wants to be rude.

- I need to get my stuff out of your apartment. When can I go?

- Whenever you want. Just let me know

And then he hung up on me. Yeah, he did.

- Oh my god what an asshole! - I said to myself, turning up my notebook to buy tickets to NY as soon as possible.

I chose a flight on next saturday, so I would have a last week with my family. After that, only God knows what I will do... I can't stay in a hotel room forever in NY.

Me: got tickets on next saturday

I texted Shawn but he only visualized it, didn't answer. He is really pissed. I understand that, of course, because it's always painful to break up, but what he wanted me to do? Stay with him unhappy? Fall for someone else and lie to him? I couldn't do that. I was as honest as possible.

My phone vibrated on my hand, it was Lauren.

Lolo: hey Camz

Me: Hi

Lolo: *photo*

That's Cleo

She send me a photo of her with her dog. She was pretty as always.

Me: OMG she's such a cuttieeeeee

Lolo: you have to meet her

Me: I will!

Lolo: so how are things in Miami?

Me: it's all good! I think I'm going to the beach today

Lolo: omg I miss it already... send me pics

Me: okay :) what are you doing today?

Lolo: gonna see my band to work things out to the show

Me: cool! I'm anxious to go back to the stage

We talked for a whole hour until Lauren had to go. Once again I was alone, having nothing to do. It's going to be a long week....
