Lauren's POV
-It was really nice to meet you, seriously. I missed you.
I said impulsively and immediately regretted, so I got in the car before she could say anything, locked it and accelerated. I could see Camila on the mirror, her hands on her head like she didn't know what she was doing... I don't know either. I shouldn't have told her that I miss her, what was I thinking? That she was missing me too?
Camila didn't have the right to say she's sorry now. It's been too many years, I moved on. I did. But now every memory is coming back to my head, making me forget how to breathe.
I almost passed a red sign, so I decided to take a long breathe and try to calm down. It was over. I'll never see her again, so there's no need to be crazy about it. It's fine.
After some minutes I finally got home, parked the car and walked inside. Taylor was sitting on the couch watching TV, so I sat next to her.
- What happened? - She asked.
- How do you know something happened?
- Your face. So, what happened?
- I just met Camila
- Camila who?
Her question was exactly what I would've question in her place. Camila was completely out of my life, it was like she didn't exist anymore.
- Camila Cabello.
Taylor was completely shocked.
- Whaaaat?
- Yeah. I told you I was going to McDonalds, right? I went there, I got my milk shake and when I was leaving she arrived. I didn't see her but she called me.
- What is she doing in Miami?
- She's visiting her parents, like I am.
- Ok Lauren but that McDonalds is very specific. There are three around here, and that one is the furthest away from her parents house.
Taylor is right. But Camila and I have gone to that McDonalds multiple times before, when we were still in Fifth Harmony. Every time we had some days off work, when we were both here in Miami, we used to meet there. I only remembered it now.
- Anyway, what did she say? - Taylor asked, taking me out of my mind.
- Just normal stuff, like it was a crazy coincidence and that she is spending the weekend at her parents house. And then Shawn came up.
- Omg, you hate him
- Yes, I do. He said he almost didn't recognize me with my sunglasses, I mean what the fuck? I was really nervous so I said goodbye real quick and went to my car
- And that was it?
I took a long breathe to start telling her the best part.
- No. When I was entering the car Camila called me again, she was running on my way. She said she wouldn't let me leave without telling me she's sorry.
Taylor made a confused face, probably the same I made to Camila.
- Sorry about what?
- About leaving Fifth Harmony the way she did, about not talking to us anymore...
Taylor and I stayed in silence for a minute. I was seeing the scene of her running to me over and over on my head, wondering what made her do that.
- Well, I think that's nice of her. - Taylor broke the silence.
- Nice? You kidding me? It's been what, 7, 8 years? She should've apologized before. It is too late.
