Okay... so... this last section of story is actually going to be in three parts, since it's taking longer than I wanted and I'm delving more into legal and criminal matters than I originally intended. I'm 15 pages into part three so it won't take me as long as usual to update for the very last chapter of the story.

Let us begin!

Finn's Cottage House

"Finn?"

The teen looked away from the sleeping form of his girlfriend, spying Nick poking his head around the side of door as it opened partly. He lifted a hand, making a quiet motion with his index finger against his lips. Carefully, the teen slid out of Millie's hold and rose, rounding the bed as he made his way over to his brother.

Nick stepped back, letting Finn out of the room, guided by the light of his brother's phone and the boy quietly closed the door behind him.

"Power's still out, huh?"

"Yeah," the older male confirmed. "But that's not what I wanted to talk to you about."

"Okay...." Finn murmured. "What did you want to talk to me about?"

"Paige just texted me," Nick answered. "She said Millie needs to come home now."

The younger male's brow furrowed at the anxious tone in his brother's voice. "Is it Karl? Does he know that Millie's here or something?"

"She didn't clarify," Nick said with a shake of his head. "Just that Millie needs to get back to the house as quickly as possible."

Get her back as quickly as possible? How was he going to do that with Karl sniffing around? "Does she have a plan to get Millie back in the house without being found out?"

"She does... and it's something only you can do."

Finn listened to the plan, eyebrows shooting up when he realized the difficulty of the situation. His mind thought over the best way to follow through with what Paige wanted and at last he spoke. "Okay. I'll grab the equipment then wake Millie up. Text Paige and tell her she needs to find something heavy and stable for an anchor. While she's figuring that out, I'll go and get Millie."

Nick nodded then lifted his phone, doing as his brother asked.

Finn opened the door to the bedroom and crept over to the flashlight still pointing upright on the night stand. Talking hold of it, the boy left the room and walked over to the storage boxes tucked in the far corner of the room and began to rifle through a green tub marked, "Practice."

Pulling out a knotted, long line of thick blue and yellow blended rope, Finn secured the lid then quickly coiled the rope and slide it up his right arm to rest on his shoulder.

The boy turned and headed back to the basement room.Opening the door, Finn entered the room and slowed to a stop at right side of the bed where Millie remained tucked in. Reaching out he laid his hand upon her shoulder. "Mills? Honey, you need to wake up."

The girl stirred at the soft but insistent shaking of her shoulder. "Mmm...don't want to..." she murmured as she tried to snuggled further into the blankets, her features shifting to confusion as she felt the loss of heat beside her. Half asleep, she reached out and patted the bedding, feeling the empty space and her eyes slowly opened, blinking as she adjusted to the dark. "Finn?"
