Here we are again with another update to this long and complex story of mine. Are we enjoying ourselves so far? I hope so.
Anyway, I am still battling illness and of course the crap with the twat releasing images of him and Millie right after the panel irritated the shit out of me (more discussion of that at the end of chapter) and I couldn't write for several days. But I am back in action and ready to give you a new chapter.
The section of story at the near beginning of this chapter that Finn is reading to Millie comes directly from JRR Tolkien's (Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit author) complex historical fiction account of the creation of Arda and how it came into being along with the various races, of which the Elves dominate.
Within this book, called The Silmarillion, lies a romantic and tragic story entitled Of Beren and Luthien (see pic above for a visual. There will be more of these as Finn and Millie continue their reading.) I highly recommend you read that story because there are parallels to it and this story of mine. Of which you will read a few in this chapter.
What makes this story very unique is the fact that the female protagonist, Luthien, has quite a bit of power and it resides in her voice and it is she who saves Beren later on, not the other way around as many stories of the time period would have done. Again... this is a parallel itself... (does anyone read my rambling?)
Anyway, this reading leads into sexy time so...
Warning: Sexual situations are present for part of the first section of this story but it is not as graphic as what I usually write, apologies if it isn't as naughty as you may like.
The rest of the chapter is devoted to the ST side of things which I also hope you enjoy.
Onto the story!

Millie let out the breath she'd been holding, relieved honey tinted eyes meeting the amused blue ones of Sadie. "God, Sadie, what are you doing up at this time of night?"
"I could ask you the same thing, Millie," the redhead replied. "Though I'm pretty sure I could guess," she added with a smirk.
The younger girl straightened her back though she felt a bit of heat on her cheeks. "Yes, I went to spend time with Finn. I didn't know I had to file an itinerary with everyone when I did it."
Sadie quirked an eyebrow at the defensive tone in her friend's voice. "I'm not judging you, Mills... I'm just teasing you a bit. Besides... with the way you're glowing... you should be in a better mood."
Millie's cheeks reddened even further but she didn't bother to deny it. "I am in a better mood... much better, actually."
"Oh, I bet," Sadie quipped.
Millie groaned. "You're starting to sound like Paige."
Sadie laughed lightly. "Well, I promise not to tell her anything, if you're worried."
The younger girl relaxed. "No.. I'm not worried... I know you wouldn't rat me out."
"Of course not. We've always been good friends. Friends stick together through thick and thin."
Millie smiled softly. "True." She studied her friend with curious eyes. "So why are you up?"
Sadie shuffled over to the refrigerator. "I woke up a bit thirsty," she answered, opening the door to pull out water bottle. "So I came down here to get a drink."
