Here we are again with another update. It's a fairly long one and all Fillie related for those who crave such things.  I will return with part two of Twilight Sleep in the next chapter.

Warning: Explicit Sexual content will be found at the end of this chapter. If you dislike such things, skip it. If you like it, I hope you enjoy it.

I'm tired and this chapter nearly killed me. I will have to stop writing such long chapters because it takes too damn long. Anyway, enough whining, onto the story!

Oh, I need the darkness
The sweetness
The sadness
The weakness
Oh, I need this
I need a lullaby
A kiss good night
Angel sweet love of my life
Oh, I need this

Finn tossed a few more split logs into the massive circular brick fire pit, a wave of heat rolling over his form and he smiled at the familiar and comforting crackle as flickers of orange and red undulated within and around the pit, consuming the wooden sacrifices dropped inside the alter of the warming god.

He remained standing, entranced by the flames, hands lifted in a form of prayer as he rubbed his palms then held them outward to warm them.

His mind wandered briefly, back to the many fires he'd built while training.

God, it seemed like a lifetime ago. Back when he was a skinny, insecure mess.

Now he was strong, confident, in control of his anxiety. But the price to reach this peak had been high and he'd suffered in other ways to achieve his goal. Including separation from the girl he loved.

And here I am again.... having to deal with being apart from her.

His gaze shifted beyond the elaborately decorated iron gaslights that lit up the brick pathway back to the wooden steps that led up to the massive two story log home, his hopeful eyes searching for some sign of Millie.

Still nothing.

Finn sighed.

Maybe this wasn't such a good idea, he thought, shuffling over to sit down on the cushioned circular stone bench that surrounded three quarters of the fire pit.

No sooner had they arrived, then Noah dragged Millie away, wanting to partake of the art and the spa at The Blake Hotel in town.

Her reluctance to go without him was all too palpable and Finn would be lying if he said he didn't feel some resentment at having his precious time with Millie co-opted by their exuberant co-star.

Still, he understood Noah was one of her best friends and so he relented, declining the invitation to join them and instead wished them a good time.

He then retreated to the outdoors, his gaze fixated on the gray trunks of the aspens that mingled with the greenish blue tint of spruces that surrounded the property, remaining still even as the sunset and starlight dominated the sky.

Alone.

A reality that was becoming more and more common for Finn and he hated it.

Stop moping, you big baby. It's not like she's abandoned you. She just went off with Noah for a bit of spa treatment.

"Yo, bro, you going to pout out here all night or what?"

Finn tilted his head back at the sudden intrusion of Nick's voice, spying the upside down vision of his brother approaching him and the teen righted himself, murmuring. "I'm not pouting, I'm relaxing."
