Maneto Part Two

Here we are with another update. Part two of episode 4. No Fillie this time (I know I said it would happen in this one but it's been two weeks. I needed to get this chapter out) but it will occur towards the beginning of the next chapter before episode 5 begins.

Warning: Sexual content between Mike and El towards the end of the chapter. Again, would what I'm writing be filmed? Nope. Not at all, nor would their conversation but I have no censors to deal with so expect it to happen a few more times within the story before my version of season 4 is completed.

You're about to meet "Maneto" and the beginning of something supernatural that is not related to the upside down (a big problem with ST is they only have the USD. It ignores multiverse theories so consider this a hint for those of you who actually read my author note crap.)

Anyway, enough with my rambling nonsense. Onto the story!

Fearless wretch
Insanity
He watches
Lurking beneath the sea
Timeless sleep
Has been upset
He awakens
Hunter of the shadows is rising
Immortal
In madness you dwell

Not dead which eternal lie
Stranger eons death may die

Drain you of your sanity
Face the thing that should not be

December 19, 1987 12:00 pm Steve's Apartment

Nancy slid the backpack over her right shoulder before climbing the interior set of stairs, turning right at the second floor and down the open hallway. She lifted her hand, knocking just below the apartment number, 221 B, lowering her hand as the door flung open, a uniformed (and smiling) Steve there to greet her.

"Hey, Nance! You're right on time! Come in."

Steve held the door open for her and Nancy entered, her blue eyes meeting the mildly curious ones of Robin who sat at the small round dining table, her uniform pressed and crisp while her officer cap lay before her.

"Thanks for meeting with me," Nancy began, walking forward until she came to a stop before the table.

"Sure thing," Robin replied, her voice even as she asked, "So what exactly is it you need translated?"

Nancy slid off her backpack and unzipped it, pulling out a banded set of photo papers. She broke the band, unrolling the paper, the glossy images crisp as she slid them towards the blonde. "These are the photos I took of the documents yesterday."

Robin pushed her cap aside then reached out, carefully lifting up the top picture as she brought it closer to her face. "Well, one thing is certain, this is definitely in French."

"Is it legible enough for you?"

Robin lowered the photo down to the table. "Yeah, I can read it well enough. But what exactly are you hoping to find?"

"Any unusual or unnatural events that might explain what happened in the area during 1724."

The blonde nodded and perused the various pictures, doing a quick reading, searching to find anything unusual and she flipped from one photo to the other, more than halfway through the pack before her gaze caught something of interest, noting the date, May 18, 1724, and she began to read out loud,

I have continued to remain close to Adrien Durand during my now two week long stay among the Eastern Kilatika clan, heeding his advice to tread carefully with the natives as they are a superstitious lot. I take that to mean they are given to nonsensical tales of mystical beasts that roam the land, the sky, and the waterways that surround the village.
