Chapter 39 - Clothes shopping

Shortly after telling Kate how my night out with Jimmy went, I asked Kate if she would like to come shopping with me again especially as Jimmy had already his running clothes.  Kate replied yeah sure.  I replied, thanks Kate and I'll just get myself ready. Whilst getting myself ready I sent a text to Jimmy which read 'Hi Jimmy, it's me just to let you know I'm going shopping with Kate :).  A few seconds later my phone beeped with a new message from Jimmy which read Hi babe, that's great and don't forget you know where I am if you get stuck and I'll recommend a shop for you.  I replied, aww thanks Jimmy :). 

After I got ready Kate and I made our way into town but I tried not to think about Jimmy too much even though I would really miss him today even though it had been less than 24 hours since I last saw him but knew he was only a phone call or text message a way of keeping in touch.

We finally arrived in town when Kate asked me what clothes are you looking for?  I replied well Jimmy told me that he liked running and has kindly offered to teach me how to run.  Kate then asked oh right, but are you sure  you two never kissed? 

I replied Kate, like I said to you earlier no we did not kiss!!!! 

At this point I was starting to get a bit annoyed as although me and Jimmy had only just got together it wasn't really Kate's business especially as I couldn't stop thinking about when I first told Kate that I liked Jimmy and that she wasn't able to keep things a secret.

After telling Kate that we didn't kiss yet again, we made our way to a few sports shops.  Kate said Lou, so what do you want to buy?  I replied, well I need some t-shirts, jogging pants and suitable trainers.  Kate replied ok.

We went into a few sports shops and I asked the shop assistant where the running section was, so the shop assistant showed us and I had a good look round as I wanted to find the right t-shirt that I would be comfortable running in.  I chose a few t-shirts to try on and asked Kate to wait for me.  She replied ok and waited for me.  I went to into the changing room and tried each t-shirt on but one of them didn't feel right.  However, I had one last t-shirt to try on and this top felt right so I came out of the changing room and decided on the last top I tried on.  By this time Kate was waiting outside for me.  I then paid for the tops, when Kate suggested that she was hungry and wanted something to eat so we made our way to the cafe.

Ten minutes later we arrived at the cafe and even though I got a few t-shirts I realised I still needed a few more things so when Kate suggested she would order our food at the counter this would be an opportunity for me to text Jimmy.  I got my phone out and quickly sent a text message to Jimmy asking him for the name of the shop that he was going to recommend to me if I got stuck.  A minute later my phone beeped and it was a new text message from Jimmy which read hi babe, try sports 4 u and hope the shopping is going ok Jimmy :).  I quickly replied back and said yeah it is and thanks Jimmy xxxx.

I really wanted to tell Jimmy about the questions Kate was asking me at the moment but knew that she would be back soon from ordering  but couldn't stop thinking that all I wanted right now was a hug from him.

By this time Kate had come back from ordering and whilst waiting for our food I mentioned to Kate that I still needed to get a pair of trainers and a few pairs of jogging pants.  Kate said oh ok. 

I replied there is a shop which I hadn't tried yet and we'll go there after we had eaten.  Kate said ok.

Fifteen minutes later our food and drinks had arrived and after we had something to eat we decided to go to the sports shop that Jimmy had recommended to me.

After having our food and a chat, we made our to the sports shop which was only a short walk from the cafe.  We arrived at the shop sports 4 u and I found a few pairs of jogging pants and just needed a pair of trainers which would be suitable for running in. 

I went to the trainers section and found a pair that would be ideal to run in so I tried them on and they felt so comfortable.  I took the trainers and jogging pants to the till and paid for them whilst Kate was waiting outside for me.

I told Kate that I had everything now to go running and Kate replied ok as we made our way back home.
