Chapter 41

When Jimmy asked me if there was something else I was really nervous about telling him so I said yeah there is Jimmy but really don’t know how to tell you?

Jimmy replied whatever it is you can tell me and like I said when you were at mine just take your time as Jimmy held my hand. 

I took a deep breath and said to Jimmy when Kate came round and we went shopping she kept asking me if we had kissed after you took me out for a drink. 

Jimmy replied so what did you say?  I told Kate that we hadn’t kissed.   That’s when Jimmy started to laugh, I asked him what was so funny.

Jimmy replied I’d loved to have seen Kate’s face if you told her that we had but well done on not telling her though. 

I then said to Jimmy, so you didn’t mind me not saying anything and I didn’t tell Kate either that you asked me to become your girlfriend.

Jimmy replied no not at all and then he asked me did Kate ever apologise to you when she told you that she told lee and spike that you liked me? 

I replied no she didn’t and it was only when you were away that she realised how much you meant to me and I was upset when I hadn’t heard from you for a few days.

Jimmy just sat there in shock and said that’s when Lee contacted me about how upset you were. 

I replied yeah and didn’t think I would ever see you again when I first came round to your place.

Jimmy said I know but it’s no wonder you sounded annoyed on the phone when we spoke earlier.

After finally explaining everything to Jimmy about Kate, Jimmy gave me a hug and said babe enough about Kate as we both looked into each other’s eyes and kissed.

Shortly after we kissed I asked jimmy if he wanted to see my jogging wear and he replied yeah sure. I showed him my jogging wear which was hanging up when jimmy said I can now teach you how to run and suggested that we go running tomorrow morning at 7.30.

I replied yeah sure.

After I told Jimmy about Kate and showed him by jogging wear, Jimmy said before I go how about I cook us both something to eat. 

I replied yeah ok.

Jimmy then went into the kitchen and suggested how about I make us some pasta.  I said yeah sure and thanks again.  Jimmy smiled at me and said no probs.

Whilst Jimmy was cooking us pasta, I set the table for us both and got the plates out ready.

Twenty minutes later the pasta was done and like at Jimmy’s place he let me start first. 

During our meal we talked about our run in the morning and Jimmy said how much he was looking forward to teaching me.

After we finished our meal and we did the dishes we went back into the living room and a chat but as we both had an early start in the morning we realised it was 8.30pm so before Jimmy left I said to him, thank you so much for listening.

Jimmy replied no problem babe and really glad you told me about Kate but I don’t want you worrying now and I will text you when I get home and also in the morning. 

I said ok. 

Jimmy replied I will see you tomorrow for our first run together and am really looking forward to it.

I replied yeah me too.

We then said goodbye to each other and after Jimmy left I couldn’t believe how nice he was especially when I had to tell him about Kate and couldn’t wait for him to teach me how to run for the first time tomorrow.

After Jimmy left, I took my running gear upstairs ready for tomorrow and I set my alarm clock for 6.30am.

By this time it was after 9pm and decided to have an early night but before going to sleep, I checked my phone and there was a new message from Jimmy which read hi babe, just to let you know that I got home ok and will see you tomorrow morning xxxx ps hope you have a good night’s sleep.

I replied, hi jimmy you too and will see you tomorrow :) xxxx

I then went to sleep.
