Chapter 25 - The next day

The day had finally arrived when Jimmy was taking me out and was really looking forward to it even though I still feeling a bit nervous.  The last time I felt like this was when I first told Jimmy how I felt about him just a few weeks ago. 

That morning I laid out on my bed my top and jeans as I wanted to make sure that I was organised as didn't I wait to leave it until the last minute especially and I didn't want to keep Jimmy waiting.

After sorting my clothes for tonight,  I didn't know what to do so I decided to text Kate asking her if she would like to go for a drink as I wanted to keep myself occupied as I kept thinking about how nervous I was especially when Jimmy said he didn't want me getting nervous about tonight. 

A few minutes later I checked my phone and there was a new text message from Kate which said 'yeah sure'.    An hour later I met Kate in the cafe and when I arrived at the cafe she asked me how I was feeling about tonight.  I said to Kate that I was really looking forward to it and especially seeing Jimmy again.

However, Kate sensed I was still nervous about tonight but re-assured me that I'd be fine once I got to the pub with Jimmy.   Whilst we were talking about Jimmy, Kate also mentioned that Jimmy would probably be feeling nervous too but just remember to smile and make eye contact with him. 

Several hours later after we had our drink we paid for our drinks in the cafe and walked home.  We finally arrived home and I said goodbye to Kate and Kate replied hope you and Jimmy have a good time tonight.  I said yeah we will.

 After saying goodbye to Kate I checked my phone.  There was a new text message from Jimmy which read, Hi Louise, not long to go now and will see you in a few hours  Jimmy :)  I replied to Jimmy which read I can't wait to see you tonight lou :)

A few hours had passed when it was time for me to get ready and kept thinking about what Kate said about how both of us would be nervous about tonight.

Shortly after getting ready it was nearly time for Jimmy to pick me up at my house so I made sure that I left a light on as I didn't want to come back to a dark house.  I was just about to get my bag and jacket when the doorbell rang and I knew it was Jimmy.  I opened the door and said Hi Jimmy, Jimmy replied Hi Louise and asked if I was ready to go and I said yeah I am and shut my front door.

My night out with Jimmy was about to begin.
