Mina stares at Nayeon, her mouth dry, her face white like she's seen a ghost, her eyes wide and not blinking as if making sure this person in front of her isn't a fragment of her twisted imagination.

She feels a course of emotions run through her, surprise, shock, a rush of undeniable warmth, but the one that comes up on top is anger.

Nayeon is looking at her with a soft smile and there is something about that gaze that seems to momentarily disarm her.

She feels her neck muscle tighten and her jaw clench.

How dare she.

How dare she come in here, and turn her world upside down with a mere eye contact.

She takes a sharp intake of breath as the anger seeps through her skin, consuming all she is, demanding a release in form of hurtful words.

She is better than that.

She can't let Nayeon get to her, she can't let her destroy her again, she most definitely can't let her see how affected she is just by her presence.

Nayeon watches with her devoted eyes every single one of the emotions that runs through Mina's beautiful face.

She sees the younger girl's eyes widen in surprise, then narrow with anger, her forehead crease with a frown, finally hardening into a blank expression on her captivating face.

She wonders as she looks at Mina how it is possible for someone to become even more beautiful than they already are.

Mina's blonde hair is now dyed the darkest black, her luscious wavy locks flowing to her chest. It's soft, exquisite and makes Nayeon want to run her hand through them.

-Her alluring bee stung lips are pursed in an everlasting pout, stirring an unquenchable desire within her to kiss it. A thin gold chain caresses the delicate line of her collarbone.

-Her smooth inviting skin she is so familiar with is hidden behind a white t-shirt that sits loosely over her elegant shoulders. The rise and fall of her chest is visible through the material, rendering her mouth dry with want.

-Tight blue jeans cover a slender waist and a plump bottom her hands ache to touch. A delicious expanse of skin peeks through the gap between the t-shirt and jeans that her fingers itch to stroke.

She hears a throat clear and her eyes travel back to Mina's dazzling face which is now coated a slight pink.

"What can I get for you?"

Mina asks, words a rush of breath, crossing her arms across her chest self consciously.

Wrong move, Mina tells herself.

Because Nayeon has once again begun to undress her with her eyes. She uncrosses her arms taking attention away from her chest.

Nayeon licks her lips before she lets a brilliant smile take over the corner of her mouth.

Her wife is standing across her.

She has longed to see her so many times in the past two months when she was in therapy but resisted it with all of her being.

Sometimes her heart has ached to get a glimpse of her, and she would almost give in. But one look at the ring Mina left on their nightstand would remind her of her last words to the younger girl and give her the strength to fix herself before she got anywhere near her.

For six months, she has held Mina's nightshirt in her sleep, her heart twisting into a knot when her scent faded away with each day.

Six months of longing, aching to see her wife.

And she is right in front of her.

Flustered, angry, annoyed and painfully beautiful.

"What can I get for you?"

Mina's perfectly shaped brow lifts up in a question.

A kiss. A hug. A sign that you still feel something for me. Nayeon thinks.

"Iced coffee and a slice of strawberry cake." She answers.

"Take away?"

Nayeon nods, her bunny teeth still showing in a radiant smile that infuriates Mina.

She gets behind the counter, trying to look unaffected by Nayeon as she quickly makes iced coffee and pours it into a takeaway mug.

She almost succeeds in pretending to be unaffected, until a smoky voice behind her says,

"These are my wife's favourites."

Mina stills, her eyes screwing shut as the older girl's words create havoc in her heart. The anger she has tried to suppress so far bubbles so quickly up her chest that she takes a deep breath to collect herself.

"I thought you are getting a divorce."

She turns around, placing the mug and cake box on the counter and looks at Nayeon squarely in the eyes.

Another charming smile. Mina almost wants to slap it off her face.

"She wants it. I don't."

"Why is that I wonder."

Her voice is bitter, her tone mocking as she takes the money from Nayeon, careful not to touch her.

She counts the return change and turns to her side, only to meet smouldering dark eyes. She feels them penetrate right into her soul, leaving her a little breathless.

"Because, I love her."

A wide smile splits Nayeon's gorgeous face.

And she walks out, quietly.

-leaving Mina's heart pounding loudly in her chest.
