Mina is someone who observes everything in detail, so she is quite surprised how she missed this.

She has been so consumed by her anger and hurt that she hasn't noticed it at first.

And she is taken aback by the nausea she feels swirling unrestrained in her stomach at the sight of the older girl's hand in a cast.

Nayeon sees Mina's eyes linger on her hand. She quickly shoves it in the pocket of her trousers.

Mina wishes she has just walked out of the store without a second glance because she doesn't like how every inch of her being just wants to get closer to Nayeon and take her hand in hers.

Swallowing the pain in her chest, she sweeps her glance up Nayeon's sculpted arms and meets her eye.

She wants to ask if her hand hurts, she wants to ask how it happened, she wants to ask if she is okay, but instead she asks,

"What did you do? Get into a drunken brawl?"

She masks the concern in her voice, taking a a dig at the older girl's past.

Nayeon flinches. "I don't drink anymore."

Mina's brow lift quizzically like she doesn't believe a word, making the singer sigh.

"Takes the fun out of drinking when you don't have someone around to constantly put down right?"

Mina smiles sweetly at Nayeon.

The idol looks away, trying not to let the hurt on her face show at Mina's words.

Mina doesn't have to remind her what a horrible person she'd been to her when she was drunk.

She is all too well aware of that and hates herself every minute for it.

"Mina, you won't believe me. I don't expect you to."

Nayeon looks at Mina, her usually twinkling eyes dull and pained, her tone full of sadness.

"But I hate myself for what I did to you more than you hate me."

Mina feels a stabbing pain shoot through her. She wants to tell Nayeon she doesn't hate her.

She could never.

But she stays rooted to her spot watching Nayeon leave the store with her friend.

Sana has had enough.

She lives far away from the city because she hates the buzz and the noise it brings.

And the two idiots by her window are hell bent on ruining the peace and quiet she loves so much.

"Jihyo, what the fuck are you doing?" Nayeon yells.

Jihyo sways slightly on her feet, grinning up at Nayeon who is perched on the hood of her car with a guitar in her hand.

"I'm plugging the wires into the speaker Im."

Nayeon wants to strangle Jihyo with the same wire she's holding quite proudly. She knows she shouldn't have let the younger girl drink.

"No you knobhead, you're plugging the air pump into the speaker."

Jihyo stares at the thick cable in her hand and shrugs, it isn't her her fault all these cables look the same.

Sana looks at the pair wondering when they are finally going to get on with the serenade they are obviously planning.

A month ago, Nayeon has dropped by unannounced at her office, giving a heartfelt speech about how she's realised the error of her ways only for Sana to shake her head and leave the spot.
