Nayeon is terrified that she is going to wake up and this is all going to be a dream.
- because Mina is standing across her, smiling at her, with a pretty blush on her cheeks.
"Ouch."
She glares at Dahyun and rubs the spot in her arm where she has just been pinched.
"Just letting you know it's definitely not a dream."
The judge looks between the two young women with an amused look in his eye.
Something has shifted in their body language.
One of them looks shy, bashful and the other one is staring at her with disbelief etched across her face.
He clears his throat as he begins, knowing fully well he is going to be stopped.
"The decision on file -"
"I don't want a divorce."
The younger one says, throwing an affectionate glance at the stunned singer, who is slowly breaking into a toothy smile.
"I don't want the divorce either."
The older one seems to have regained her ability to speak.
A reprimand is on the tip of his tongue, because he has so many pending cases, but for someone who sits day after day, separating people who have grown far apart, this is a refreshing change that certainly warms his heart.
"Case dismissed. Get out of here before I change my mind and fine you for wasting court time."
He has never seen a crowd disperse so quickly before.
Nayeon has never been so glad about noise.
- the noise of a dog barking in the backyard, the noise of dishes being clattered and food being cooked, the noise of people talking and joking with each other.
- the happy noise that fills the empty rooms of her house.
- the happy noise her heart is making.
She has just driven back from the court with the members. Mina's family and friends have arrived soon after and they are all making dinner together after quite a stressful but eventful day.
"Looking for your wife?"
She jumps hearing Momo's voice close to her ear.
"Jihyo is getting Mina's things from our place. They should be back soon."
A slow smile spreads across her face, making her look evenmore beautiful than she already is when the reality of the situation fully dawns on her.
She finally has her girl.
She finally has her happy ending.
The smile widens further when she sees a car approach the mansion.
Mina gets out of it, talking and laughing with Jihyo. She stops the conversation abruptly, turns to her left to look directly at Nayeon like she senses her eyes on her.
They stare at each other fondly.
A pretty pink dusts Mina's spellbinding face and a rush of warmth floods Nayeon's chest at the sight of it.
Nayeon isn't sure if she is allowed to feel this good.
Mina feels a tap on her shoulders and breaks away from their glance. She helps Jihyo carry the bags into the house.
They walk towards Nayeon together, Mina's eyes never leaving the dark ones.
When they come to a stop by her side, Jihyo playfully shoves Mina into Nayeon and rolls her eyes when they both blush and apologize like a pair of teenagers.
