"That insufferable, pigheaded, imbecile, idiot."Momo raises an eyebrow at the younger girl but doesn't interrupt the rant because with Mina everything is sophisticated, even the string of curses and it is entertaining to hear them.
Besides she kind of knows who fits the vivid description Mina is giving.
"Really. What does she think she's doing, coming in there with her little declaration of love."
Mina is absolutely livid and it is fascinating to watch the normally calm girl so unhinged.
Momo resists a smile tugging at the corner of her lips, afraid that she would infuriate her more.
She definitely knows who Mina is talking about.
"God, I could have slapped that stupid grin off her face. How does she even know where I work?"
Momo avoids looking at Mina.
"Are you not going to say anything?"
Mina narrows her eyes at her best friend who looks guilty for some odd reason.
"I don't even know what you're going on about."
Mina sighs. Of course.
"Nayeon walked in today." She says quietly.
She drops to the couch by her bestfriend's side.
"I don't know what she's playing at ordering my favourite things, calling me her wife and telling me," She pauses, chewing on her bottom lip.
"Telling you what?" Momo prods.
The younger girl frowns, a pout sitting on her lips.
"She loves me."
Oh, Momo thinks, so the tool has finally initiated Plan A.
"What the hell is Plan A Momo?"
Nayeon is boxing, and Momo is slightly scared of her.
"It's really very simple ."
The singer takes off her boxing gloves and takes a seat across the girls. Her therapist has suggested she takes up a sport so that she can divert any negative feelings to it without having to resort to alcohol.
"Just tell me what it is."
"You court her."
Nayeon is baffled why Momo is using words like this. Are they in some Shakespeare play and nobody gave her the memo?
"That's your plan? How do you suggest I court her?"
"There are things you must know about her Nayeon-chan. Small, but important things that others don't know."
Nayeon looks away to a far spot as a pensive look comes on her face.
Little things others don't know? There is a beauty mark right below her breast. And another on her bum. Those juicy plumpy-
"Things that will show her you care." Tzuyu cuts her thoughts because she doesn't like the roguish grin on Nayeon's face.
Nayeon nods. She needs to show that she has changed, that she can care and love without any hesitation or insecurities holding her back.
"It's not going to be easy, this wooing." Jihyo warns, "you might get hurt too."
Nayeon shrugs. She doesn't care. She is due some hurt after what she's done to her wife.
"Plan A is so on." Her voice is determined, her smile broad. "Miss Myoui Mina, I'm going to sweep you off your feet and you won't know what to do."
One look at the state her bestfriend is in tells Momo she hasn't moved on like she keeps insisting.
She obviously still feels strongly for the singer but she also knows how stubborn she can be once she makes up her mind.
She knows how equally stubborn Nayeon is. The older girl won't go down without a fight and this is going to get really interesting to watch.
When Mina goes back to work the next day, she hates herself a little when she feels a little disappointment at every ding.
She is almost convinced Nayeon has done a spur of the moment thing, had her fun and found someone else to annoy for the day.
-until she sees a familiar car pull up outside the cake shop. Her heart beat quickens and she subconsciously smoothes out her work shirt and skirt.
Nayeon is wearing a simple white button down shirt which is tucked inside a wide beige jeans. Her short silky hair is tousled to perfection. Her smile is bright and dazzling. She looks immaculate and Mina feels a slight colour coating her cheeks when she realises she is checking Nayeon out.
She turns around quickly before she can get caught staring.
"Hello."
What, no wife today? Mina mentally scoffs as she moves to the counter.
"What can I get for you today?"
Her tone is professional, curt, her gaze never staying too long on the older girl.
"Coffee and a slice of chocolate cake, please."
She makes coffee and stirs six packet of sugar in it absentmindedly, wondering what little act Nayeon is going to pull today.
But Nayeon is completely business like, thanks her, collects her belongings and Mina can't help but feel a little disgruntled.
She turns to the side, sorting the cash register before she can close up for the night.
"This shirt," She hears a voice at the door.
Nayeon hasn't left.
She is looking at her with an unreadable expression on her face, "is the one I was wearing when I first saw you. I don't remember anything from that night but I remember telling my friends that I've just seen the most beautiful girl in the world."
Mina doesn't move. She feels dizzy, her heart hammers in her chest. She steadies herself at the counter as Nayeon looks at her for a long moment with a soft smile on her face.
"Goodnight Mina."
Mina presses a hand to her chest as if to calm it, noting with disdain how Nayeon has once again managed to topple her world upside down with few words.
