"There's a special P.E class today, apparently," Donghyuck mentioned, alternating his gaze between Chenle and the tag-along alpha.Chenle was acting as though Jisung wasn't there, wasn't eating an apple right beside him on the shared canteen table. Jisung, too, was barely paying attention to them as he was studying from an open notebook. Donghyuck was a bit on edge. There was only one alpha he was comfortable around, and it wasn't Park Jisung.
"What do you mean 'special'? As in we might actually not do anything? Maybe the gods have answered my prayers."
"No, Le. I only heard it from Ms. Jung yesterday during the last class. She said something about a visitor."
Intriguing. Well, anything would be better than having to play soccer or something with extremely aggressive teammates. That's usually how it went. He picked up on Donghyuck's unease around the 'guardian angel' and peeped at Jisung subtly. Then he regained his focus on his friend and mouthed 'he's keeping an eye on me, trying to convert me into a good person'. He smiled softly and mouthed once more 'he's probably harmless'.
Donghyuck only nodded uncertainly. He may have said yesterday that Jisung seemed alright, but it was still unsettling to see his friend being followed around. Alphas could try anything. And that was a fact.
Sensing the silence, the alpha looked up from his book with his apple core in his hand. He glanced briefly at Chenle, who was still pretending there were only two souls at the table, and then noticed how Donghyuck was on the edge of his seat uncomfortably. Oh, he's nervous of me. Jisung raised his hand for a small wave, didn't smile with it, and only made the tanned male cock his head to the side. "Sorry for intruding on you."
Wait a minute, Chenle inwardly grumbled, he didn't apologise for imposing himself on me. Only my friend. "Are you in our P.E class?" He asked, unconcerned.
The tallest of the three nodded hesitantly. "I think so. I don't really pay attention to the others in that class." He usually kept to himself and his rather large friend group, not overly interested in the other classmates who were in his P.E class.
"Mr. Lee's P.E class."
"Oh, yeah. That's the one."
Donghyuck only watched their first conversation of the day in slight amusement. Why had Chenle been ignoring this tag-along if he was going to talk to him anyway? Already his friend seemed to be lowering his guard, only marginally. He wasn't naïve enough to lower it any further than simple, relaxed conversation like the one now.
"To be honest, I didn't know we were in the same P.E class either," Chenle added. "You're probably one of those aggressive teammates I was thinking about just a second ago..."
Jisung knew he probably wasn't since he usually went out of his way to avoid contact, taking into account the stronger physical attributes of his alpha self, as he wouldn't want to knock someone down. But he just nodded along. There seemed to be a lot of things that this omega assumed about Jisung. He went back to studying without a word, leaving Chenle to figure out that he needed to study right now.
