"I'm blue, dabadee dabadah~""Why're you blue?"
"HWAA!" Chenle almost jumped out of his skin when the voice interrupted him. The very suspicious backpack over his shoulders jingled with his fright. Very suspicious. He turned around and almost leapt again when the person was right up in his personal space, looking over his shoulder. "I should've known!"
"Hey, just avoid going out at eight o'clock and you won't even see me."
The omega huffed and pushed Jisung back a bit. They even met at the same place as last week, if coincidence even dared to claim this moment. The traffic lights turned green for the pedestrians and Chenle nipped across the road in a hurry, leaving a jogging younger boy to catch up to him.
"Wait up," he called and held the boy's shoulder to slow him down. "You're so suspicious that I can't just let you leave without showing me the contents of that bag."
Chenle was now pulled to the side of the street for questioning. He took in the sight of the alpha with his jogging gear on, tousled hair over his forehead and a hand gripping his shoulder. A sight for sore eyes. "I don't think either of us need to confirm what's in my bag now, do we, Jisung?"
"No."
"So, will you let me go this one time?"
The younger shook his head. Such a chancer, he noted. "'One time' will turn into multiple times. How about we talk instead?"
Talk? "Dude, you've got to make your offer sound more appealing or I'll just kick you in the shins and leg it."
"You wouldn't..."
"You wanna bet?" Chenle lifted one of his legs and took on the pose of the Crane, pretending to kick him. Jisung could only stifle a laugh at the odd sight. If he could look back on this day only a few weeks ago, when he met the infamous Zhong Chenle outside the police station, he surely wouldn't have imagined the snippy, irritable omega to be like this. "Laugh all you want, but I need to go to this meet-up or else I'll be kicked out."
The alpha cut the chuckles and blinked. That didn't sound like such a bad thing. It would be better for Chenle to cut ties with those kinds of people. "If you stay with them, they'll only get more and more confident until they escalate to serious crimes. I've heard it from my dad too many times. It'll probably turn quite violent, and it'd be dangerous for you to associate with them at that point."
Why does he always know everything? It's so hard to argue with him. The ravenette sighed and scratched the back of his head in thought. "But I enjoy... the thrill of it. It's about the adrenaline." Truth be told, he was slowly feeling those inklings disappear each time Jisung prevented him from taking part. His time spent with his real friends was increasing and it was gently pushing the delinquency away. He was substituting those moments with his spray paint canister for moments with Donghyuck and Mark, and even Jisung.
