"Don't you have anything to do around here except study?"Jisung didn't know whether to feel insulted or complimented. Knowing Chenle, he shouldn't feel either. "The... The television? We have one of those."
"Oh, okay. Wanna catch the news?"
"Not particularly."
"Right, me neither. But there are some good nature documentaries on the channels usually. David is my hero. Is he on right now?"
Jisung shrugged and snatched the remote, turning the tv on and flicking through the channels until something even remotely nature-like popped on. A documentary about arachnids. He put the device down and took a seat on the couch, patting the spot beside him for Chenle to sit like he had back at the pond. "This okay?"
The omega nodded. He plopped down beside him, rather close to the alpha with their legs brushing, and tried to stay quiet. But it wasn't that easy. "Imma get myself a drink."
"Don't use the tap water."
"...What do you mean?"
Jisung jokingly raised his hands in uncertainty, only messing around. "Viruses and microorganisms are in the water here."
"Then where do I go for a decent glass of aqua?"
"There's a well out the back."
"You're kidding."
He chuckled and looked over at him, breaking away from the very uncomfortable scene on the television of a parasite eating a host spider from the inside out. From the corner of his eye, he could see it happening, and Chenle's shudder told him that he, too, was trying to avoid the clip. "Here, I'll get you a drink." Almost as quickly as it had been switched on, the tv screen turned black and the remote was laid back down on the coffee table.
They headed into the kitchen together and the younger boy switched on the tap, much to the omega's dismay, and ran a glass under the flow. "Did you just... tease me, Mister Park?"
"Mayhaps."
"I didn't know you had it in you." He stood beside him, leaning over to watch the glass fill, and took it off him with a curt 'thank you'. His sips were kinda loud.
Jisung folded his arms and watched him down the glass in one go, finding him quite cute. It made a glugging noise like in a cartoon. The omega then poured himself another drink and drank a little over half before running out of steam. "You're not on ecstasy, are you?"
Chenle's eyes narrowed in mock hurt and he wagged his finger, moving to lean against the counter. "I'm just thirsty, is all." Of course, he knew it was just a joke. Jisung was joking with him and it wasn't even weird. He should let loose more often, instead of just in his own home. "But seriously, is there a well outside?"
"No, but there're other things."
"...Vague."
"Other things like..." he drifted off, hand unfolding to touch his cheek in thought, "flowers. That's pretty much all there is. Here, pass the glass so I can put it in the dishwasher."
