"Shh," a soothing voice murmured. Chenle couldn't remember the exact moment at which he fell asleep but he definitely didn't remember Donghyuck and Renjun arriving, now leaning over him."Hnnn... My main hoes," he croaked. "What... Where?"
"We're in our room," Renjun explained.
Donghyuck peeled back the covers and crept in beside him, Renjun slipping in on the other side. He must've been moved to the middle bed at some point while he slept. "Lele, if there was an award for the world's biggest idiot, you'd be clad in gold."
"Why?"
"Because your Prince Charming told us that you had the bright idea to walk into a bedroom full of alphas."
Chenle groaned and rolled over to Renjun, wanting to block out the nagging on his other side. He felt incredibly cold. It was as if he'd taken an ice bath and not dried himself off afterwards. "You know how these heats are; they trick you into doing stupid things. I had a compelling need to follow a certain peppermint scent, you know what I mean?"
"Unfortunately, I know all too well."
After a moment of silence, Chenle spoke up again tentatively. "And, um, where is Jisung?"
Renjun pulled the covers up and snuggled into them. "He had to go or else he'd do something he'd regret."
Chenle closed his eyes but shadows kept moving around and he couldn't quite settle. He had no concept of the time so he didn't know what stage of the heat he was at, but it should've taken eight hours to pass. The uncontrollable urges and emotions would be gone by morning. "I have to hand it to him; he has an iron will."
Donghyuck coughed and murmured under his breath, but Chenle heard what he said: "Or he's in love."
"Anyway, did you guys get a teacher?"
"Nah," Renjun hummed tiredly, "since it was under control and should be over in the morning. Your suppressants are holding up really well."
"That's good. I wouldn't want this spreading around our classmates. How did the party go in the end?"
"We could hear everyone going back to their rooms maybe an hour ago? So yeah, they didn't stay out too late."
Chenle nodded and found himself drifting off to sleep. His shivers were subsiding. He remembered slightly that he and Jisung talked about lots of things whilst he was in the throes of the heat. Something about realising how big the world really was and how small people were in it...
He slept on that thought.

"You sure? It would be best if you stayed here... Renjun and I could make up an excuse that you're not feeling well."
