Donghyuck was out the next day, which left all of Chenle's attention to Jisung. The two were sitting in class, but not peacefully, because the omega was staring at the alpha intently. You see, he had watched a video last night after coming home from Donghyuck's house about how to read someone's fortune by the creases in their brow. Jisung had many creases in his brow.

This was because he was staring questioningly back at Chenle in confusion as to why he was being watched.

"What?" He whispered in exasperation. It was hard to conceal conversation when they were sitting at the front.

Chenle finally acknowledged his seat mate and gave him a smile. "You'll have a baby when you're older."

"What?!"

"Park Jisung," the teacher hushed and pointed a disappointed finger at him. "I was going to let it slide, but I don't want to be dishing out special treatment. Pay attention."

"Sorry," he answered, unsure of why the outburst even happened. He was generally good at... well, not showing surprise. But that really did catch him off guard. He glanced back at Chenle with even more creases in his brow, leaving the omega second guessing himself.

"Too many to decode," he whispered as though Jisung had a clue what he meant. Did that particular crease indicate a family? Or was it death? Suddenly, Chenle couldn't really remember the video that well. Good thing it was in his history, at least. His eyes squinted at the alpha's forehead, his body leaning closer towards him. "Maybe that means two babies. Either way, you'll probably die of old age."

Where did death even fit into that? Jisung covered his forehead and whispered to the omega to pay attention. It appeared to have worked, but what the alpha didn't realise was that Chenle was staring through the board rather than at it.

Did that mean death by old age or of a natural disaster? Huh, dunno. He scratched the back of his neck, mind shifting to his poor heat-induced friend. The boy had gone through some symptoms of extreme heat and extreme cold last night in preparation for the monthly heat, so he had mostly been wrapped up like a burrito while they ate sweets together. It was adorable, and Chenle only wished Mark could've seen it. They could've uwued together. Hyuck's family was really nice. They often let Chenle come over to their house and let their son visit his flat in turn.

The bell rang, thank God, and the omega turned back to Jisung, pulling him down to his height and towards his face. "Just give me a second." His eyes lingered on the top line. It left him stumped. Did that one relate to the gender of the person he'd marry? Maybe not... "A longer crease means... male?"

"What are you doing?"

"Reading your fortune. You know, you seem like you'll be a lucky guy. Well, unless that did mean natural disaster..."

Jisung stared deeply into Chenle's eyes. They were very pretty. There was a curiosity in them that he didn't often see in others' and it gave Jisung a sense of wonder. He pulled away from the hands that were brushing the back of his neck and moved to gather up his books.
