When he woke up the next day, it immediately dawned on him that this was technically his first day at work. And he was already not off to a great start. He'd ended up waking up later then expected, and now he had to rush to get out  the door.

Not that anybody currently needed him or anything, but still. It was nice to be there at a good time. Bright and early was the best time, in Meme's mind. Provided you had a good supply of coffee to keep you going.

Meme arrived, and took out the keys from his pocket. He opened the door and flipped on the lights. His own medical bay, so to speak. It was beautiful.

"You going to be okay here all day?" TBH asked, who'd insisted on coming with him. Meme nodded.

"Basically having my own doctors office has been my dream ever since I can remember, TBH. Of course I'm going to be okay. The question is really...how do you sit behind that counter at the gym and fast food place all day?" Meme threw back at him, smirking. This was the happiest he'd been a long time.

"I wouldn't say I just sit there all day..." TBH's voice trailed off. Meme raised a eyebrow, but shrugged it off. It was nothing. The way it'd been said probably sounded different to Meme then TBH had intended it.

"Anyways...I gotta get to work." Meme pointed out awkwardly.

"Oh, right! Sorry. See ya later!" TBH waved goodbye, and left, leaving Meme to his own devices.

This interaction left Meme feeling...complicated. Something was off, he could feel it. He had a sneaky feeling something was going to happen today, but he had no idea what.

Ignoring it, Meme got to work. He cleaned the space and made sure everything was in order. He changed into his doctors outfit, and sat down in the front.  While he waited, he decided to get himself busy with some paperwork.

"Jesus, how many fucking bills are there?" Meme muttered to himself as he flipped through all the papers he'd had left in his desk at home to be taken care of later.

One that stuck out to him, and made him freeze was Wiktorias funeral bill.

"What the actual FUCK Laff." Meme groaned. It was bad enough that it was such a solid reminder of his wife, and the fact of her death, but it was extremely expensive, and Meme didn't know if he could pay that right now.

Shaken, Meme decided to take a break from the paperwork. It was giving him a headache. He went over and reached to get his keys, intending to go get some lunch or something, when the door burst open.

"MEME MEME MEME MEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEMEEEEEEEEEEME!" Blaza exclaimed, barging in with someone behind him. Meme took a moment to get over the shock of this, and then, composing himself, went back behind the front desk.
