Blaza couldn't believe everything that had happened. The last day or so had been hectic, with Blaza wondering what he was supposed to do. He couldn't believe that it had been Socks all along. He'd been so sure that Socks was innocent.

Running a hand through his hair, Blaza sighed, and got out of his bed. He'd been laying down and holing himself up in his room at the base ever since he'd gotten back from the trial. Dino, Oompa and even Muffinjuice had all checked up on him and tried to get him out of bed, but Blaza didn't feel like it.

They didn't know how it felt to be betrayed by somebody you thought you'd known, especially your best friend.

Socks had been someone he'd trusted. He'd defended him time and time again. Blaza had been happy to have Socks around and to be able to hang out with him. He'd been there for Socks when Socks had been at his worst. He'd been there when Socks had the nightmare.

How could he have been so stupid?

Focusing back on the task at hand, Blaza walked out of his room and went to go get some breakfast. He hadn't really felt hungry in the last few day or so, so he hadn't really been eating. It was catching up to him now.

"Oh, Blaza. Hey! feeling any better?" Muffin tentatively asked when Blaza walked into what was objectively their kitchen.

Blaza didn't even know when Muffinjuice had started basically living in the base with all of them, but he didn't really care. As far as he was concerned, Muffin could do what he wanted.

"Eh." Blaza shrugged, opening the fridge and getting out some milk and a left over piece of chicken.

"You gotta start taking to us about it Blaza." Muffin sighed, crossing his arms.

"You're just a kid. What do you know." Blaza growled, turning back around to glare at the fourteen year old.

"I know that you've been depressed ever since the court trial. That's what I know. I also know that it's not good for you to hold emotion in." Muffin said matter of factly.

"Please just...leave it alone." Blaza muttered in response.

Walking back to his room, Blaza shut the door and ate, not wanting to do anything.

He was done. Done with life. Done with the people he'd considered friends.

                                       -----------------------------------------------------------------

Socks hated having to hide up in the attic of Laffs house. It was extremely cramped and because it was summer, it was very hot.

He'd been hidden up here abruptly when Meme and Nadwe came over for the cleansing. Socks hadn't been able to protest because his voice was gone.
