He could finally slip past the damn barriers Sinta had put forth. Whatever punishment Balor had laid upon Sinta was enough to distract her from keeping him away from his beloved.
"For a small angel, she sure has power that rivals the archangels." His pink eyes scanned the forest he was unfamiliar with. A good thing to do would have been to check precisely where his beloved was. His tail swung in irritation, wings suddenly flared out and ready to be used.
"I'll take to the skies to search for her." He flapped twice to lift himself correctly, then propelled his body through the air with his wings.
The sun was still high in the sky, so he had to use his hand to shield his eyes while he began his search.

Kyo became severely disappointed at the reminder she could no longer fly. In its place were two massive and visible scars. Though Koga often said it was a mark of battle, she still wished her skin had been left unmarred. She avoided complaining about it to Shinto as she carried one near her eye. So close she could have been blinded; Kyo wanted to ask her friend about what went down between her and the dog demon.
But it wasn't her business, and Shinto may never be comfortable telling her anything. It hurt that Shinto withholding information may be stopping them from growing closer.
Koga was around less frequently; she missed him. Kagome once more became the focus of his visits, Inuyasha being the only thing ungluing her friend from the schoolgirl.
It didn't take a genius to see the look on Shinto's face was that of jealousy. Kyo decided to stop walking on eggshells around her best friend. The present was good as any to tell her the history of her and the dog.
Kyo confronted the angel, and Shinto, who felt a little ambushed, still spilled the details of her past to the female wolf.
"And there you have it."
Kyo glanced sideways at the two males still arguing over Kagome. So all the dislike Shinto carried for Inuyasha was valid. Kyo wanted to punch him but knew it would be uncalled for, though that wouldn't matter to a certain someone later on.

Johnny caught a whiff of his beloved's scent on the wind, his lips stretching into a smile. Then as he flew a little further, he spotted two figures standing while talking—a black and brown spec.He went lower and confirmed the black spec to be Shinto. He didn't care for the other people near or around his beloved. "I've found my sweet."
He zoomed down and sneakily wrapped his tail around her waist while she was in the midst of a conversation. Kyo noticed him before she did.
"Hiya Shinto!" He said cheerily; he startled her as she gasped and stared at him wide-eyed. "Johnny, what are you doing here?!"
Kyo watched in confusion at this strange demon. "I'm here to retrieve you; I know what Sinta did again. Right now, she's serving punishment for sending you to earth."
"She's what?!"
Johnny snaked his arms around her neck and hugged her from behind. Kyo didn't understand why Shinto was letting a random dude touch her so intimately. She cleared her throat to gain the guy's attention. "Uh, who are you?"
He grinned cheekily, "oh, I'm Shinto's childhood friend!"
"A...friend?"
Shinto sighed, "he's an incubus, and they tend to be expressive with anyone close to them. It's just in their nature. The same applies to a succubus. But they never touch anywhere inappropriate."
"Ok, I'm Kyo, Shinto's best friend."
Johnny squinted his eyes as his grin changed to a smirk. "Oh really? You're making new company already, Shinto, so who are those ridiculous people yelling over there?"
Shinto tried to steer the conversation back to her younger sister, concerned about what Johnny had mentioned. "Wait a minute, what's going on at home?"
It worked as his gaze slid back to her, "like I said, she is being punished for sending you to earth, but in their eyes, it's letting you escape. Sinta saved you from that meeting for a reason. But I'm here to take you back there as your father wanted me to since no one else but me can come down here without getting into trouble. Now answer my question, who are the people over there?"
Shinto felt her voice disappear, sensing trouble approaching. Kyo answered the question for the angel's friend. "Well the girl is Kagome, the man with the ponytail is Koga, and the doofus dog demon is Inuyasha. The monk is Miroku, the other woman is Sango, and the cute little fox is Shippo. He's like a little brother to me."
"Thank you, Kyo; it seems Shinto has gone quiet on me for some reason."
She shoved Johnny off of her, "you need to go. Now."
His features flashed with hurt for a second but became neutral after. "Why? I thought you wanted to return home?"
"I do, but now that the entrances are opened, I can return alone."
Johnny folded his arms across his chest, "I have to inform you that's not a good idea."
"Why?" Shinto started to become annoyed with Johnny. But before he could even open his mouth, a voice cut him off, "Johnny?!" All heads turned to the dog demon, who wore an angry expression.
"How does he know me already?"
"Crap." The angel was visibly concerned. "Shinto." He tried once more, "I told him about you..."
The incubus raised a brow, "told him about me?"
Shinto hesitantly added, "50 years ago."
In less than a second, those pink pupils locked onto her scar, then the dog demon. It clicked in his brain.
"So he was the bastard who hurt you."
"Johnny don't-" but he teleported quicker than she could grab him, right before Inuyasha.
Directing a clenched fist straight for the dog's face, and it landed square in the middle. Sending him toppling across the grass and stopping in a cloud of dust. Kagome ran to Inuyasha, worried.
Kyo was surprised by the amount of power he had. The blue-haired male looked too scrawny for battle.
The attack had alerted his friends; Sango had her weapon ready, and Miroku was prepared to unleash his wind scar. Kirara transformed to her bigger form, and Shippo mocked a fighting stance. Even Koga prepared himself.
Johnny's lips formed a smile of malice, a sparkling ball hovering in his hand as Inuyasha raised himself and wiped a bit of blood leaking from his nose.
Johnny's tail swished back and forth like a cat's slowly. "You all wanna battle? Fine by me."
