Another slap stung her skin; her cheeks were painfully red. Blood was already pooling in her mouth. "If you don't comply with me, you get punished."
Kyo spat out blood onto the clean floor, "I'm not some pet you're training, and I don't intend to become one."
Again he raised his hand to her skin, causing more blood to coat her tongue.
She didn't even flinch this time. He let out a dark chuckle. He walked up behind her, grabbed a handful of hair on the back of her head and slammed her into the wall again; she grunted from pain. A smirk graced his lips. This was going to hurt for a while.
"Do you know what I can do? You'll never escape here, no matter how much you run. And I won't allow that to happen." His words pierced her ears when he yelled. "You are mine; you belong to me!""I belong to no one, and I've dealt with worse pain. I've had my wings ripped off my back while I was awake. if this is your form of torture, it's shit." Kyo smiled, despite her wounds. She never wanted to feel as vulnerable as she did when she'd been Naraku's captive. It had almost killed her.
His fist came crashing down on her body, causing more blood to flow from her lip.
"And if you don't stop being such an annoying little brat, there is more." He pulled at the hair he was holding, and she whimpered in pain, "If you want more, then you're going to fucking behave or else!"
The sound of a door slamming open made Kyo freeze, and his grip loosened. "Is everything okay?" A dark blue-haired female asked; the man turned around slowly, letting go of Kyo's ponytail.Kyo kept from lunging at the tentacle demon or whatever he was.
"Yes, just... disciplining someone." The man replied with a slight smile. "Ah yes, I see. Sarah made some tea if you wanted some brother."
Kyo watched as both of them left the room, but before the female closed the door, she glanced back at Kyo.Not that Kyo could discern what her expression was due to the overgrown fringe hiding her face. Finally, the woman left. She breathed a sigh of relief, her eyes closing briefly. "Ow..."

"This is the spot she disappeared."
Koga sniffed the air, "how weird.."
"What is?" Shinto asked quickly.
"Kyo's scent, whoever took her, didn't cover her smell." Shinto looked at the wolf demon, a little confused.
"Isn't that a good thing?"
"Yeah, it is, but it could mean one of two things, 1. they're lazy or 2. it's a trap." He said.
They both agreed they should check it out anyway. Before either even took a step, Inuyasha said behind them. "I'm coming too; you need all the help you can get."
Koga nodded, but Shinto answered with, "No."
Inuyasha thought she might be against him joining them. "I know you don't like me at the moment-"
"You said goodbye. Doesn't that usually imply we never speak to one another again?"
He sighed. "Yes, but...I don't want that to be the case. I take it back."
Shinto remained poker-faced, "you take it back?"
"Yes," Inuyasha answered, unsure of her tone. Shinto scoffed, "you can't just expect me to accept an excuse that lame. You can help us find Kyo, but I'm not interacting with you afterwards. Understood?"
"Shinto-"
"Understood?" She repeated firmly.
Inuyasha gave up and turned his head away. "Yeah, okay, fine," he grumbled under his breath. Shinto felt terrible for being harsh towards him, but she had no choice. She had a right to be distrustful.
The trio walked on in silence. It wasn't until Koga spoke up. "She must have been here."
"How do you know?" Shinto asked."Fresh blood."
"That is true," Inuyasha added, looking over to the area where the blood was. "But who could have taken her?"
"We're in the process of figuring it out."
Koga grimaced, "It's easy to track the scent, but finding our way in will be hard."
"What do you mean?"
Koga pointed forwards, Shinto looked ahead and sweat. A massive fog, stretching for miles, hung above a barely visible building. The fog was so thick.
"No doubt a demon has used the fog as a barrier; we can get in, but...we might get lost."
Shinto began to become impatient, "so what do we do?"
Inuyasha piped in, "we have to find another way inside."
"But we don't know if there is another way in!"
Koga gripped Shinto's shoulder, "he's right. Look, I want to save Kyo as much as you do. But we can't go into a magical fog. That's literally designed to have us aimlessly wandering."
Shinto swatted his arm away, "I realise you do..."
"Good."
"But I'm not leaving Kyo waiting when she could be getting abused again."
Inuyasha clicked with what the angel was about to do, "Shinto no-"
But she dashed forwards into the fog, her sight in front of her quickly becoming blocked.
"What an idiot!" Inuyasha went to rush in after her, but Koga grabbed his arm. "Don't follow her!"
"I have to!" He yanked Koga's hold and ran into the heavy fog. "Ahh, screw this!" The wolf entered, too, being left with no choice.
