Shinto layout on a hilltop as Kyo took a seat beside her. "So this has been an interesting afternoon." Her ears twitched a little.
The angel sighed as a breeze blew her long, silky black strands. Kyo's ponytail drifting slightly in the wind too.
"It sure has; I didn't think I'd be meeting Inuyasha so soon. Or ever, to be honest."
Kyo nodded with a hum as she stretched her joints. "For me, it's quite the opposite. I'm overjoyed I've been reunited with Koga; I've missed him."
Shinto saw how the wolf's features softened when she talked about the male. "Do you like him?"
Kyo became flustered quickly as she used her hand to hide the blush heating her skin. "Is it that obvious?"
Shinto smiled a little. "To me, yes, but not to him, if you're wondering." Kyo sighed in relief.
The wolf fiddled with her fingers, seeming awkward with asking her question. The angel nudged her, "spit it out."
"Do you want to be friends?"
She blinked, surprised. "I uh...sure, you seem pretty sensible."
Her ears twitched, "is that meant to be a compliment?" Kyo said, unimpressed.
Shinto nodded. "Yes."
A flashy grin stretched along her lips, "Alright then, we have no problems, and I don't have to claw you!"
The last bit made Shinto brush the faint scar on her cheek. But she locked any thought of that day away and pushed the wolf playfully. "You are full of empty threats."
Kyo quirked an eyebrow, "oh, you think so? Well, I'll have to show you they aren't!" She raised her arm, fingers slashing a chunk from a nearby tree.
"There, see!" Kyo's face fell into one of shock as the angel laughed sweetly. "You sure are a show-off."
Kyo began to laugh as well as her chuckle was infectious. Shinto hadn't felt this loose for ages.
Inuyasha's ears caught two distinctive laughs. He peeked from the hut and saw both clutching their sides; Shinto's smile.... crinkled her eyes meaning it was real.
A surge of jealousy ran through his veins for the wolf girl. Nails raking three lines into the wood of the hut.

Kyo managed to tear Koga away from Kagome. Smiling as all his attention was on her, "it's been so long since I've seen you."
He gripped his best friend's shoulder, "I know, and I'm sorry I gave up on finding you...I thought you were dead, so I tried to let go of you but couldn't."
Kyo's heart did flips at his words; he could never forget her. He would never know how happy he made her. "Well, I'm here now, Koga, we can make a fresh start, and you can teach those moves you pulled on me."
Kyo made a fist and punched her other hand to symbolise combat training. But he suddenly enveloped her in a tight hug, his body shaking slightly as his voice cracked while he spoke. "I'm serious, Kyo. I thought you were dead; I thought it was my fault."
Was he...crying?
"Koga, I'm not dead, and even if I were, it'd never be your fault." She wrapped her arms around him in an effort to ease his guilt.
Koga quickly broke the hug and wiped at his tear-stained face. Clearing his throat, he averted his gaze, {geez, he is such a man} she thought.
"Uh yeah, I know that now."
Kyo placed a hand on her hip, "only because I told you." He chuckled at her sassy tone.
"There's my Kyo." She was so glad it was dark out, so he couldn't see how red her face was at that moment.
"Y-yeah...I'm yours." She muttered.
"Sorry, what was that?" He asked.
Kyo waved her hands frantically as she said, "o-oh, nothing. I just said yeah, I'm me again!"
He shook his head with an amused grin. "Ok, so how does training when you wake up sound?"
She sighed at how dense he was, "suits me just fine. I'll see you in the morning."
He saluted as he said, "you sure will!"
Koga ran off with dust trailing behind him as he headed to his pack in the mountains to get some rest.
Kyo would go to sleep dreaming about that face. She hummed happily as she had been reunited with the love of her life.
Would she be able to tell him how she felt one day?
