Story for myself and someone I know. Art done by Mikedrawart on Fiverr.
Two girls meet to bring new found happiness to each other's lives. But along this journey both have love for men that test their patience. One is a secret love and the other bro...
"I really tried to kill you guys? I'm sorry." Kyo sighed in relief, "so the way Johnny explained it was correct."
Kyo took another large breath through her nose and grabbed both sides of Shinto's face. "Kyo-" suddenly, she headbutted their foreheads together. Shinto held her head in pain. Kyo then pointed a finger at her, "How could you just leave like that?! I've lost too many people in my life, and I refuse for you to be one of them!"
Shinto tried speaking again, but Kyo did another erratic reaction and flung her arms around Shinto. She hugged her best friend's cheek as tears rolled like a stream down her face. "I'm so relieved you're back! I thought you were going to die up there!"
Shinto felt her retinas burn as her heart thumped with appreciation at the group of people, especially Kyo, who cared so much about her.
Inuyasha stood back to let the two friends have their moment and left for an unknown reason. Koga shook his head and let go a little laugh, ungluing the clingy wolf from her best friend. "Let her breath Kyo."
"Alright, I am."
Shinto saw Sango look towards the direction Inuyasha had taken. "Is he ok?"
"I'm sure he is," Shinto said.
Sango insisted, though, "maybe someone should go check on him. Specifically you." She shot the angel a knowing look.
Those brown eyes flicked to the pale scar and back to where their friend had walked. Kagome spoke up, "I'll go."
Sango did her best to be polite, "um...no, I think this is an issue between Inuyasha and Shinto. Considering what I was told, you were a completely different person when you changed. "
Shinto sighed, "I'm sure he's ok but fine." So she walked off to see how the silver-haired boy was doing.

She spotted the bright red clothing; he sat cross-legged on the ground against a tree. His sword was resting upon his side, arms folded across his chest.
"Why are you here, Shinto? You should be with Kyo."
Already she could feel the annoyance fill her veins. "Sango suggested I check up on you, but if you're going to-"
Inuyasha pinned his gaze on the angel. "When you turned, you....you attacked me."
"I'm sorry, I attacked everyone."
He furrowed his brow. "Yes, but you wanted me dead most of all."
Shinto clenched her fists, "I said I was sorry."
Inuyasha couldn't help but be angry still, " you hate me that much still. I know I messed up! I do. You glare at me each time my eyes meet yours, and it hurts. It's a constant reminder-"
"This scar is a constant reminder!" She cut in.
"I'm aware but when will you let me stop feeling guilty for what I've done? You wanted me dead-"
"I don't want you dead you idiot!" She interjected. Eyes squeezed shut and trembling with rage, the outburst took Inuyasha aback. "That wasn't me. I-I'm not really me when that happens. You should know I'd never want to harm anyone. Not even you."
Shinto opened her eyes but felt too self-conscious to look at him directly. "I want to have a normal conversation with you, too, without becoming a fight. I...I'm lost with how I feel about you." She gripped her forearm and bit her bottom lip as tears threatened to fall.
Inuyasha sighed through his nose and stood up. Closing the distance between them. "Don't cry. Please."
Shinto audibly swallowed and took a large breath in. Daring to stare at him, "I hope you understand now." She went to run, to get away, as she couldn't handle this level of vulnerability with the dog demon.
But he knew better and had held a firm grip on her top. Hand sliding down to grab her elbow, "are you the forgiving type?"
He'd asked this once before, and she'd done all she could to avoid it. "......I am."
She yanked her arm free and flew off before he could get any more words out. Inuyasha made no move to chase after her.
A particular friend had followed in secret and seen the whole interaction.
