Johnny fell backwards on Sinta's bed, making the mattress let go a soft squeak. "Why did she have to go and stay down there."

Sinta sat beside him, placing her hands in her lap, speaking to the incubus flatly. "You'll get caught if you stay here any longer. Especially since Balor knows you exist now."

"I don't care, Sinta; Shinto is with the moron on earth. I wish I could kill him."

Sinta looked up at the ceiling, "you know that would upset her, Johnny."

He tched, "Still though. He deserves to die for what he's done to her."

His pink eyes slid to the young angel, "why did you send her down to earth that day?"

She kept staring at the ceiling, "big sister was in trouble. I had to save her from the horrible fate they had in store for her. Big sister should be able to choose her future for herself, not Balor."

Johnny appeared surprised, "what you say is true, but...she still seems miserable."

Sinta turned to Johnny, "You're a fool if you think that."

"Hey-"

"Shinto is the happiest I have ever seen her. She has new friends, new hopes and dreams. Sending her down there was the best decision I made. If she's happy, I'm happy."

Johnny sat up, his features softening, "then why do you look so sad?"

Sinta's fingers clenched, she bit her bottom lip as it wobbled. "I'm not. I'm fine."

"Since Shinto's chosen to stay on earth, you'll never see her again. You do realise, right?"

{Of course I do; I'll never lay my eyes upon my big sister again. She's chosen her home, her new home, a better home. She is surrounded by people who don't think she's unclean or an abomination.}

Johnny wrapped his arms around Sinta as an act of comfort; the young angel held his forearm, silent tears dripping from her eyes.

She believed she'd done the right thing in saving her sister. If Shinto suffered any pain on earth, she knew her big sister would find a way to fix it. Otherwise, Sinta wouldn't have been a good sister.

Eon curled then uncurled his fists, his wife hadn't looked at him for days, and Sinta was more reserved than ever.

Just what kind of father had he been to his children?
